Okay, Dubya's cutting his golf game short
He's going to make some kind of statement on the bombing in Baghdad.

Any DUers want to play Bush and predict his speech?

Any guesses on how many times he says "evildoers" or "deadenders"?

3. Cutting his round short?
Boy, is he going to be in a pissy mood! Fortunately, it's not yet 10 o'clock, so he won't be too bagged to read a statement. There will, of course, be no questions.

do we accept such stupidity from the press?

on the other hand, I just learned from my wife that the organization she works for announced that the standard for all communications to the public must be written on the 6th grade level!

America has to be the most ignorant country in the western world. I see it daily, even here at DU.

6. And don't forget the now-classic one:
Edited on Tue Aug-19-03 09:43 AM by GainesT1958
"Terra-ists"! :eyes:

And all the media whores said: "Amen! This great leader's stupidity gives all Americans such confidence in his BOLDNESS!"

What's really sad is that some columnists I actually USED to admire are among the numbers of the collective synchophantic whoredom. x(

Leon Harris said WHAT? :wtf:

Somebody FedEx that guy a set of official White House kneepads down to Atlanta...QUICK!:eyes:

B-)

23. "Somebody FedEx that guy a set of official White House kneepads"
I've been waiting to do this for so long now. As soon as I start getting a paycheck I'm gonna start sending knee pads to all the mediawhores (not the Hannity or O'Really types just the ones who think we can't smell their shit). Wolfie, Russert, Matthews, that bitch from inside politics, - all of them are going to get a nice set of kneepads with an little note of explanation.

on some thinly veiled "we told you so" comments. Why, didn't the US warn those evildoers at the UN that Iraq was a hotbed of AQ activity? :eyes:

15. After seeing him
just STANDING there on the cell-phone with that fool, Rice, I kept thinking "Jesus, I bet he's asking her if he can finish his god-damned GOLF GAME before he speaks to the nation!". It wouldn't shock me in the least to hear him say what you suggested.

It's rather frightening to realize I hate that SOB that much.

13. Predict his speech
Well, we heard from them, but they are gonna be hearing from us real soon.

Slowly but surely, uhhh, ummm, my country will bring the evil-doers and dictators to justice. It's just a uhhh, uhhh matter of time. We got 'em on the hunt. (pumps fists) Feels uhhh uhhh good.

We love freedom and democracy. These people are not with us, they are with the terrorists. They hate freedom and we love uhhhh freedom.

16. They have to get the Atari Cartridge
with the speech on it, and plug it in to the back of his head. Last time, they accidentially plugged in "Yar's Revenge" and it was a big mess.

18. He will blame it on a "small group"
Who are loyal to Saddam and opposed to freedom and the Iraqi people.

I'm sure he will tell how proud he is of our soldiers; yet forget to mention that he's cutting their pay.

He will mention that the noose is closing around Saddam and that America and the world are safer from terrorism and that we are in this for the long haul.

He will not make any real policy decisions, but the news will cover it like it is a huge event.

I think the question is will any news commentators point out that the increase in events such as this in the past week (oil pipeline getting hit twice, water cut to all Baghdad and now this) indicates a sophisticated resistant movement. Also, will they mention the total number of Americans killed (not just those ruled combat related) and injured (almost never reported)?

Just my thoughts

25. Normally I find the Chimp pics to be hysterical and fitting but
this situation seems to need more reality than hilarity. His fucking arrogance is disgusting - a picture of a chimp does nothing to open people's eyes to it.
