Freeper meltdown concerning Yahoo! F911 coverage
Edited on Sun Jun-27-04 09:23 PM by wyldwolf
Will voting on Yahoo! News stories determine how long they are featured on the frontpage?

Or is there some kind of automatic shelf life for them?

Witness this post from the Yahoo! Message board concerning the F911 "#1 Movie and documentary" story featured on Yahoo.com:

9. yeah
Gee, I wish *I* had an important job like monitoring Yahoo all day to see what their top-rated stories are. Then I, too, can post ignorant diatribes full of racial invective in my position as Yahoo Hall Monitor.

Oh, wait, I can't. I'm not ignorant, I'm not racist, and I have a friggin' LIFE.

Do you have to be a complete loser to have a freeper membership card?

6. My, my, aren't they charming?
And such a lovely command of the English language, too.

"the Jew ketchup boy and his French wife" They really need to do their homework, don't they?

Sounds like sour grapes to me and I hope they choke on 'em.

8. When freepers melt down you can always count on them going into Nazi mode
...that is their "safe mode" when their systems crash.

14. Ha glee, that is sad
When the Garfield movie only raked in $7 mill.

For real here, the movie F119 is not playing in all parts of the country.

<snip>
The Arnolds had to drive 50 miles to get to this affluent Indianapolis suburb from their home in Kokomo, and Mr. Arnold had to take the morning off from his job as a school administrator, but, as Mrs. Arnold explained, "They just don't show art movies in Kokomo."
<snip>

Never the less, the movie is number one with the movie goers this weekend. Lets see if that stat will stay there in the coming weeks ahead.

15. You know what I don't understand?
Why are Freepers so blindly loyal to Bush*? What has he done for them? I assume they're not rich people, so they must be affected by the economy, social security, medicare, education funding, etc., yet they are obsessed with preventing people from bad-mouthing him. His lies are painfully obvious, yet they still believe in him. I don't get it. If 9/11 was allowed to happen so that Bush* could crack down on civil liberties, launch a never-ending war, and divert all US treasury funds to Enron, Halliburton, etc., it hurts them, too. It's not as if Bush* is only hurting "left-wing, bleedin' heart liberals" ... Freepers and their families are going to be stuck with the consequences, too. Why would you fiercely defend a government that obviously doesn't give a shit about you? :shrug:

Yes I know ... I'm looking for logical reasons and I'll never find them. It just blows my mind that people would be so willing to ignore their own best interests and support a man who hasn't done a damn thing for them!

Yesterday, someone said to me, "Americans are getting dumber by the minute!" She was right. :-(

18. These people thrive on authority and chain of command. Bush/Cheney
Edited on Sun Jun-27-04 11:51 PM by demo@midlife
are the authority figures herding around all the sheeple, telling them who the enemy is and what to be afraid of, while reassuring them that ONLY the patriotic rethugs can be trusted to keep them safe. And in exchange for that security, they believe everything Big Brother/Big Daddy tell them, remaining devoted to them almost to the point of worship. I'm convinced that some would even kill, steal, and lie for them, since the end justifies the means. (They learned that from their role models at the top.) And there's not much chance of them getting any wrong information, since they get all the talking points from the fair-and-balanced channel. They report, they decide for you. After all, if it's reliable enough for VP Dick, it's good enough for anysheeple.

Unlike those wild-eyed, unpatriotic, panty-waisted, love-beaded, sex-crazed, right-bashing, left-leaning, tree-hugging, bed-wetting, welfare-cheating, flag-burning, Hollywood-loving, God-hating, satan-worshipping, broccoli-eating, latte-drinking, terraist-sympathizing, freedom-hating, enemy-comforting, fact-checking, draft-dodging, class warfare-inciting, flaming, peacemongering, elite, effete, effeminate feminazi limousine liberals who engage in such subversive activities as critical thinking, speaking objectively, reading the newspaper, and not watching Fox News. Don'tcha know. :hippie:

16. Here's what I posted over there
Gee, I'd hate to think all so-called "CHRISTians" think like you do.

Anti-semitism? Tsk, tsk.

And why are you monitoring Yahoo all day on a Sunday?

And you lose credibility when you post in all caps.

See the movie yet? :)
