LOL Drudge is desperate. . .he has listed every market where
. . .where Clinton's book is not flying off the shelves. . .he must be a little worried. The guy took the entire right column and listed states and areas where the book is "not selling": Ft. Wayne, Lubbuck, Billings,Hudson Valley,Shenandoah Valley. . .you get the picture. . .LOL

1. I know, I know
I saw that too
and of course chided myself for opening Drudge in the first place

my thought was....
'you can make a list long as your arm,
but you can't take the big dog down'

3. They are all desperate cornered Monsters
Not quite as bad (yet) as Hitler in the bunker, but not so far off, either.

And the Cornered Nazi monster is the most dangerous kind.

Get ready for Phases II, IIa and II of the "October Surprise".

4. I'm sure as word gets around
the book will start to sell in smaller markets. It always does because they feel compelled to see what folks in other parts of the country are talking about if anything else.

And even though Clinton's not selling "well" in Fort Wayne, Indiana, I'd bet he's still outselling Drudge!

Bwahahahahaha!

6. That's hilarious!! Guess he's never heard of Amazon?
Sheesh, I haven't actually purchased a book at a bookstore in about five years... and I imagine I'm not alone.

I noticed he singled out Cincinnati as a place where Clinton's book isn't exactly flying off the shelves... but of course, I bought my copy from Amazon.

Drudge is pretty hilarious when he's a cornered little rat, isn't he?

10. I wonder
Maybe it's time to point out to Drudge's conservative white male supporters that he is a homosexual. Since they believe gays to be evil and corrupt, perhaps they need to know about their hero.

15. what's evil and corrupt
is your suggestion that homosexuality be used as a political weapon. How is your suggestion any different from what see at far-right sites? it's not...it's exactly the same hogwash.

21. Absolutely.
Drudge's sexual preference is his business, as it should be for everyone. No matter how vile he is, we should stay out of his bedroom as we would want the bigoted fucks he shills for to stay out of everyone else's.

Now, if you want to slam his intelligence, his character, his "journalistic" standards, fine ... have at it!

12. his "big story" about Clinton "losing his temper"
on the British interview sure was a flub. Drudge was hyping it like Bill threw a chair and was screaming or something. I finally saw a clip and kept waiting for the "tantrum" part, it was like that's it? He never even raised his voice, just pointed a finger at the guy is all.
Sheeesh, they are getting desperate.

13. Clear Channel radio news pulled the same thing yesterday
I wa listening to the local brownshirt CC talk station (WISN) yesterday. They said something along the lines of "Clinton's book is expected to be a best seller...but not in Bush's home state of Texas."

Cut to Texans being interviewed, saying "I've heard enough of his stories when he was in office", "If I buy it, it will be as a door stop" and so on.

That's what I get for listening to Clear Channel talk stations. Geez! And WISN calls itself "Factual, fair and balanced". Yeah, just like FOX.

But what do you expect for a station who's lineup consists of Beck, Lowbrow, Belling and Hannity?

14. Here was my email to him...he has a book coming out too.
"I hope you will post how your book is doing in all of the cities you mention for Clinton's. I don't suspect it will be written about though. You will just have to give the raw numbers if you can get them.

I suspect you won't sell more than 10-15 copies in any of the cities you mention. Good luck though."

20. The Valley? I'll bet it is selling very well in the Roanoke area
Which is the southern end but the upper part, if that makes any sense to you. The rest of the Valley isn't very populated so not selling there means nada.

Booksellers Predict Record Clinton Sales

"NEW YORK (AP) -- Booksellers on Wednesday predicted record nonfiction sales for the debut of Bill Clinton's autobiography as the former president told television interviewers he did not immediately come clean about the Monica Lewinsky affair because he thought he'd lose office.

"... "My Life" was released throughout the United States with a first printing of 1.5 million. Barnes & Noble had estimated that between 90,000 and 100,000 copies would sell Tuesday in the United States, a record debut for a nonfiction book. On Wednesday, Borders also reported a record first day for nonfiction, with worldwide sales topping 50,000, more than double the previous high, for Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's "Living History." ...

"... In Ireland, which the ex-president still visits yearly for golf and lucrative speaking engagements, Dubliners lauded Clinton as a driving force behind the country's 1990s economic boom and the peace process in neighboring Northern Ireland.

"Clinton was a charmer, whereas Bush is just scary," said Pat Huxtable, a psychotherapist thumbing through a copy of "My Life" in a Dublin bookstore. ..."

22. Cincinnati Enquirer
otherwise known as the "Daily Newsletter of the Hamilton County Republican Party," ran a story before the release about how the book wouldn't be a big seller here, then a story the next day confirming that booksellers are only seeing modest sales (what you would expect from a major release). They don't bother mentioning that in other cities there are lines around the block.

26. All he did was cherry-pick the most conservative areas of each state...
Billings, MT is in Yellowstone Co., considered the most conservative county in Montana. I bet the book is selling much better in Missoula County.

to let him know that the Issaquah, WA, Costco was expecting to sell through the 5,000 copies of "My Life" they had on hand by closing yesterday.

Of course, we're on the Left Coast, we just don't count, do we?
