Interesting development
Support for the war in military heavy North Carolina is dropping sharply according to the News & Observer of Raleigh. Support for withdrawing some or all the troops has jumped 18% since January. Support for a larger force has dropped from 23% to 9%.

1. maybe it's our dead sons and daughters getting through to us
our very own sons and daughters, compelling us from beyond.
they are invisible, unheard. they are statistics. how many more do we have to sacrifice to the insane mr. bush?

4. "the insane mr. bush"
That insanity is what is turning people against the occupation. Remember that 70% of the people supported the invasion. But as the insanity of the management style of the insane mr. bush has revealed itself, that support is rapidly declining.

Kerry can, due to his positioning, make great political strides by attacking the insane mangement syle of mr. bush.

I too, mopaul, feel like the spirits of the wasted humanity are working to alter the final outcome. Can't prove it, but I do believe.

2. imo, the repercussions of not getting that country
stabilized and secure are discernibly daunting.
whether, or not, that is even possible is another question, altogether.

3. They don't even report on military support for Bush anymore
It's in the toilet. The enlisted troops and a good slice of the officers know that they're going to return home to reduced benefits, a broken economy, and the shame of having fought a war to enrich a little man and his little group of friends.

And some won't be returning home. Ever.

If Saudi Arabia erupts, like a huge volume of chatter has been saying, Stop-Loss will be in place for the duration, and a draft will be pushed through Congress in days.
