Does Anyone Here Use 'Progressive Secretary?'
Progressive Secretary is run by a network of volunteers who write e-mail letters to elected officials. The letters are then e-mailed to the people who have signed up to review them. The recipients then decide whether the letter should be sent in their name, then reply back to Progressive Secretary. Progressive Secretary then distributes the e-mail letters to smirk, sneer, senators or representatives. They have constituents' states and congressional districts on file, so the letters go to an individual's correct senator or representative.

I became acquainted with Progressive Secretary when I frequented the usenet group misc.activism.progressive. I signed up for their e-mailings, which I receive several times a week. The topics cover the gamut from environmental issues to black-box voting. I have never declined to have any letter sent to Washington, so I'd estimate over 2,000 letters sent in my name. All I've ever received in return amounts to form letters, but at least my opinion is registered.

As Jim Harris says, progressives don't send nearly enough letters to their elected officials.
