ready for another bush bashing mega-book ?!!!
Edited on Sat Jun-19-04 02:16 PM by thebigmansentme
from an unlikely source.

The Thomas Dunne imprint of St. Martin's Press has agreed to pay $500,000 to Pat Buchanan for an anti-Dubya book to be called "Where the Right Went Wrong."

The proto-conservative will blast the Bush Administration for behaviors both domestic and foreign. He is particularly scornful of the U.S. foreign policy that has "ignited a war of civilizations" with the Islamic world.

Publishing insiders say Buchanan's thoughts on the 43rd president are surprisingly out of character.

"They could put Michael Moore on the jacket of this book, and people would believe he wrote it," one said.

Buchanan will also slam bush for outsourcing jobs, uncontrolled immigration, and giant deficit. His conclusion - bush is not a conservative.

4. Did anyone hear rumors about Buchanan endorsing Nader?
In any event, I glad to see an arch conservative, and a vocal one at that, bashing Bush.

7. Covering his ass
Maybe he sees that things are going badly, and maybe he's smart enough to realize that if he wants his version of the apocalypse to prevail, then he needs to survive the inevitable implosion of the Christian right that is about to follow the glorious failure of their messiah, "Damien Bush".

10. I hope and pray Buchanan has a great PR team for this.
If they can get him on all the major networks talking as a conservative dissing Bush*, that would be great. No one can accuse him of being from the "liberal" media.
