In preparation to see F9/11
As there is likely to be some skirmishes set up by *Lickers and agents provacateurs in the line-ups to see the movie, I'm wondering if the Powers that Be may be looking at opening night as scattered 'demonstrations' or 'protests' and send in their goons with the artillery that Patriot2 has provided them and see this has a national security issue. Hey, they're nuts and desparate enough.

Please conduct yourselves properly and don't give any of them a reason to club or mace you. You have every right to be enraged and angered but please don't give them any excuses, do not get sucked in.

1. I'm going quietly and armed
I'm going to be a perfect gentleman. I ain't starting nothing, and I ain't going to respond to any protestors or taunts. I ain't giving anyone any reason to think poorly about me or stop me from seeing this movie. But if any of the idiots assault me or my family, they will kick the oxygen habit permanently.

I have receievd death threats from these people against me and my wife and children. Accdordingly, my state saw fit to issue me a concealed carry permit.

Let's hope I don't have to even consider using it.

7. Oh sure, drag a firearm into a potentially explosive situation.

That'll make our side look REAL good.

Don't forget the lesson of Bowling For Columbine.

21. I'm sure he doesn't care about "our side" looking good
sounds like he's more interested in protecting his family than in a PR exercize for the left.

Frankly, if the wingnuts thought that liberals are heavily armed and potentially explosive, that would be fine with me.

problem.

I am going to see F-9/11 irrespective of the threat of protest. I am going alone and unarmed. However, should there be violence, I will participate. There is only one way to deal with intimidation, superior force. Same as the playground bullies who folded up after one good kick to the nuts, the RW thugs who want to start shit at F-9/11 are COUNTING on the fact that we libs are "peacable" and "non confrontational"... When we protest they see puppets and drumming and sandals and street theater and froofroo bullshit, because MOST of it is froo froo bullshit.

Let them start shit when I'm on line for a ticket. I don't do puppets and drums, I don't do froo froo bullshit, I don't believe in passive resistance. Passive resistance means they get tired of beating the shit out of you. I am an active resister. I swing first if necessary.

And if I have to wait for Mrs. McLargehuge to bail me out of the clink before seeing the film, then so be it, but I'll know I hopitalized one or two of those assholes before going down.

Bring it, I got the fists.

3. You might consider going off hours (like a Saturday matinee)
rather than a Friday or Saturday nght when there will likely be some alcohol-induced machismo at play...

4. It's a motion picture, not a union organizing meeting.
If there is trouble, get the manager ... just like you would at any other film.

the trouble will begin.

Bring cameras, show them off.....

5. I plan to see it at a multiplex.
That way, if anyone wants to protest the film, they'll have to do it outside the complex.

I can't imagine the hooligans will hang out in the maze of multiplex theater hallways.

6. I have reserved tickets for Friday night in Los Angeles
Should be interesting to see how many, if any, demonstrators show up in the west side of town. They might have to bus them in from other areas of So Cal.

I always do my best to make nice or ignore such idiots but won't allow them to get in my face.

BTW, in case you hadn't heard, I just found out today that there's footage of a beheading in the movie.

previous poster's statement that there is film of a beheading in F 9/11.

20. It's true.
I don't ahve a link, but I've read that in several articles and heard it mentioned on the TV. I started to make arrangements for a babysitter. Then I realized that there is a difference between sheltering my child and keeping her from the truth. I'm taking her anyway.

25. My son already suffers from nightmares. I don't plan to add more
disturbance to his sleep. And if there is such footage in the film, I'll plan a trip to the ladies or something like that during that part of the film.

I know people are capable of the most barbaric behaviors imaginable, but I don't need to see them. And my son doesn't need to see them either.

22. Nah
There wouldn't be any beheading footage, if there was it would be rated NC-17, not R.

8. I'd be surprised if there were very many protestors
Those freeper-types are very brave when they're anonymous nobodies posting in the safety of their own living room or calling in to a radio show. But at heart they're cowards -- they don't like to put their own butts on the line. Bush is a typical example: loves loves *loves* war, but won't actually go out and fight it himself.

I think a lot of the reason people become conservative freaks is because they're afraid. Inside they're just terrified all the time.

9. I'm going. Openeing night. Period.
I expect no problems. Maybe there will be a few Freepidjits outside the theater with signs. I will flip them off as I go in. Even as overly needy as they are to prove they have penises, I still doubt they will try to be violent. I was at the Planned Parenthood march in DC in April. I carried the DU banner. I wasn't harrassed. I doubt it will happen this time either.
BUT...if it does...I will not hold back. Period.

12. I'm enthusiastic
about seeing this film. I take exception to views by others that it's worth shooting someone over. That is absurd. Rent it if you feel such anger at the possibility of being confronted by extremists.

Personally, if there is violence, I won't go...PERSONALLY.

I do believe that there will be provacateurs intending to bring an end to theaters showing this film. Will local governments protect film goers ? Or will they protect those blocking or attempting to block theaters ?

I also believe there will be violence in some areas of the country.

It's fairly liberal so I don't expect any things like protests or whatnot. Frankly, I'd be surprised if there is any of that across the country.

No, I won't be bringing any cameras or stakes, I might consider having some garlic bread though beforehand, it is a favorite of mine.

16. I can't believe we are becoming a nation that fears going to see a movie!
Has our country fallen backward so far in just 4 short years?

Just go see the movie, and tell everyone about it.

yes, yes it most certainly has.
If you could time machine yourself from Sept 10, to today and see the horrendous list of events and treachery and lies and massive robberies by corps, you would probably pass out in disbelief. But we take it up the ass a bit at time, as always, and too many don't even notice the transition.

17. i don't expect much from them...
i don't really think there will be much of a protest... deep down, i'm kind of hoping there is, though. If it's a couple people silently holding signs, then i *might* just let it go. but if i hear so much as one word out of them, i plan to hop right in their face and see what they'll do.
