WMD JOKE WEBSITE IS MASSIVE HIT - I can't find it!

A WEBSITE created by a Birmingham pharmacist which pokes fun at the United States' failed hunt for weapons of mass destruction has become one of the most popular on the net.


Anthony Cox set up the site in February before the Iraq war - but this week it had more than a million hits.


The site, which is designed to look like a genuine error message - with bomb icon - is the top result when "weapons of mass destruction" is typed into http://www.google.com.


Linking to the page from Google the message comes up: "These Weapons of Mass Destruction cannot be displayed," and suggests that the country might be experiencing technical difficulties. And because it looks like an authentic error message, many internet users thought that search engine Google had been hacked.

the "I'm Feeling Lucky" button instead of the regular "search" button on Google. IT worked the last time I did it.

I couldn't find it either using their directions, but then I typed
"These Weapons of Mass Destruction cannot be displayed"
into Google and got it

4. Got moved, or bumped or something

I use Opera, and you can google anything by just typing g and the search phrase. I was able to get this joke site last week by just typing g "Weapons of Mass Destruction" -- it was the first thing that came up (and it was funny).

Now it doesn't come up, at least not on the first page of results.

Maybe someone was annoyed, and bumped it down in Google. Or maybe the site had too many hits.

http://www.ttr2.co.uk/wmd.htm when I 'enter' it only shows up for a few seconds then opens http://www.ttr2.co.uk/ which is something else.

Now I understand what the Mirror is talking about. It's really a funny site/file/page!

- If you are George Bush and typed the country's name in the address bar, make sure that it is spelled correctly. (IRAQ).

- If you are an Old European Country trying to protect your interests, make sure your options are left wide open as long as possible. Click the Tools menu, and then click on League of Nations. On the Advanced tab, scroll to the Head in the Sand section and check settings for your exports to Iraq.
