Bush aviator doll made in China

PITTSFIELD -- President Bush's ceremonial landing on an aircraft carrier to declare major combat over in Iraq has been immortalized in an action figure being distributed by K-B Toys.

The foot-tall figurine of Bush in full naval aviator's regalia joins the "Elite Force" series of action figures, including a New York City policeman, Navy SEAL commandos and World War II aviators, manufactured by Blue Box Toys, a Hong Kong-based company with factories in southern China.

Does it come with "Pretzel-Gaggin' Action" or it's own little Segway to stumble off of?

1. Did he authorize these?
Is he making money off of these? Don't people usually have to authorize something made in their image and receive a royalty?

I haven't seen anything about that, I actually thought it was a joke until it slowly sunk in this was for real. That shall be my new test; if it sounds like it can't be real, it's real and if it sounds like it's real, it's not real. See how easy it is to live in upside down world?

2. No one can stop you from making dolls of the president
Once he becomes president, he mostly loses any right to protect his image.

Look at all the Clinton merchandise put out by the right wing, they certainly didn't get a license.
