Before I stop hating, I want these people to apologize to America:
For the noxious, evil, hateful comments they've said over the years:

Rush Limbaugh

Ann Coulter

Michael Savage

Pat Buchanan

Cal Thomas

Robert Novak

Laura Ingraham

Jerry Falwell

Pat Robertson

I'm sure I'm forgetting someone, so please add. But my point is that I really would like not to feel negative. I really would like to begin having a civil discourse about the issues in this country. I don't like to hate. But, dammit. These people started it. And it's apologizing time.

1. they are never going to apologize
Find something productive to do as payback to them. Hating is only hurting you, as you have said youself. You are tired of being negative. Then stop being negative. You don't have to like them and forget having civil discourse. But you can stop talking to the nuts altogether. There are rational people to talk to. Seek them out.

2. Michael Medved....
I was listening to him the other day. He sure as hell ain;t much better!
He just does it under the radar. Not as obnoxious as the "folks" listed above. But he has the same views.

3. Hanutty
If he apologized there may be some adverse reactions -- of course they may all use the Limbaugh defense: we're just entertainers.

5. The GOP is 90% responsible for the noxious tone of politics
The DC Democrats could have very credibly began impeachment proceeding vs Reagan in 1987 - but chose not to. The only way to change the tone is to fire back with equal venom until the other side sincerely wants to turn down the rhetoric. At this point the only thing the GOP will respond to is a kick in the ass - not turning the other cheek. The GOP and their media lackeys will always accuse the Dems of being vicious - the Dems might as well actually BE vicious.

6. Don't forget the NRA
Almost a 9-11 every month in dead Americans because of lax enforcement of the weakest weapons regulation of advanced nations.

8. Gun control
is a losing issue.

Saying you want to ban certain weapons doesn't get your side fired up, but it damned sure energizes the GOP base and they then will crawl over broken glass to get to the polls and vote against all Democrats, regardless of their individual stands on the issue.

Bill Clinton correctly blamed the anti-gunners for the loss of the Congress in 1994.

7. I'd Never Expect an Apology
from any of the lot. What I can do, however, is make it plain to their advertisers that I will never buy any of their products so long as they finance hate speech.
