Gas Station encounter
Yesterday we stopped to get gas on our way home from grocery shopping

A man in a SUV was filling his tank at the pump next to us. We had noticed a bush-cheney '04 bumper sticker on the back of his SUV when we first pulled up

as his tank was filling, he was bent over at the back of his SUV, and was trying to remove the bush-cheney '04 bumper sticker

my partner said to him "Guess you are not voting for bush?"

he shook his head "nope, I was going to vote for him only because of the war on terror, but at these gas prices and the mess he's made in Iraq -- I don't care if gas goes down to FREE, he's not getting my vote"

5. Talk about Irony - Wouldn't it be ironic if Bush lost because of high gas
prices after the way Bush and Cheney have whored after the oil companies?

6. OL' BLOOD AND GUMS BUSH
Edited on Mon May-31-04 01:21 PM by radfringe
I know there are alot of nick-names for bush*out there... but this one sort of popped out of my mouth today

my neighbor was pontificating about how Kerry threw his medals over the fence and he didn't think this was appropriate behavior for a president

didn't seem to matter if this occured 40 years ago, and it was different times, (but he gives bush* a pass on drugs/booze as "youthful indescretions...")

the conversation went downhill from there as I pointed out that Kerry did his service in a war, and received medals for that service -- whereas bush*'s service is very much in question and it appears that the only thing he showed up for was for a dentist appointment

at that point I started referring to bush* as:

OL' BLOOD AND GUMS BUSH

8. Ha! Good on him!
But we all know Bush* and his cronies will keep the prices high for a while and then a month or two before the election, they'll gradually lower gas prices and we'll all forget. The high gas prices will soon be forgotten.
