CNN will discuss the Bill Cosby comments.
I didn't read his speech but apparently it must have been something that the right wingers wanted to hear. Some cspan caller said that what Cosby said should have been the biggest story last week.

1. Anything to distract from the horror unfolding in Iraq
Remind me again, are we listening to celebrities spout off on things this week or not? That is, is it Michael Moore, the Gropinator, Bono or Bill Cosby talking? I get so confused without CNN telling me what to think.

2. Here is a link "Cosby's got it right — that's no joke"
I guess that is what they are talking about

http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/editorial/2589700

" ... People marched and were hit in the face with rocks to get an education, and now we've got these knuckleheads walking around," Cosby grumbled, according to The Washington Post and Associated Press. "The lower economic people are not holding up their end in this deal. These people are not parenting. They are buying things for kids — $500 sneakers for what? And won't spend $200 for 'Hooked on Phonics.' "

Hold on. He was just getting warmed up.

"I can't even talk the way these people talk: 'Why you ain't,' 'Where you is' ... You can't be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth!"

7. The Cos has got a point! And we can use his comments too...
And we need to use his comments back at the repukes who abandon people and cut funding instead of getting all defensive about it, which in turn makes us look weak and unvoteable.

Cos is an entertainer. His career is mostly based on sending positive, if not sometimes sacchrine sweet much. Compare that to the negative and corporate "buy buy buy" images and he's done a lot.

8. He is also a PhD in education
which makes him an informed entertainer.

4. Cosby
No offense intended, but is he trying to be a white neocon?

5. No, but he may have been hanging around too many lately.
I am sure most blacks will agree that maybe Mr. Cosby has lost touch. But since he is black, he won't get that much backlash from the speech. I respected Mr. Cosby ever since he defended that Jimmy the Greek from long ago when he was drunk and said something like black athletes are bred to be athletes. I agreed with him, they made a big to do about nothing. The man was drunk.

6. He's just too old.
He's fine with black culture as long as it's fifty years old. He doesn't understand the new stuff so he bites the white neocon line, hook and sinker.
