Who here loves Pelosi saying "Emperor wearing no clothes"?
I mean, really. We NEVER would have heard that from Gephardt. It's just such a good soundbite.

GOP demands apology. Pelosi's group should counter--well, if you want to continue the charade, be our guest...but we are acknowledging what our constituents already know.

Faced with the stream of bad developments out of Iraq I think you could make the case there really is a choice...not a false dilemma...a real choice:

Either Bush knew what was happening at every stage which makes him criminal and culpable

Or Bush truly didn't know and has continued to make failed policy decisions in the absence of good info and good judgement which makes him

INCOMPETENT!

I just wish the media would put 2 and 2 together for those who won't see it...even Republican moderates like McCain are speaking out now about the big elephant in the living room--BUSH IS AN IDIOT and NOT FIT TO LEAD

HOORAY NANCY PELOSI. You have gone up a few notches in my book

1. I emailed her and told her not to DARE to apologize.
Told her it's long past time that Democrats started speaking out like this. Politeness and bipartisanship are just fine when you are dealing with people who just have a different perspective on good public policy. The Bush administration and the radicals who have hijacked the Republican Party have no such thing.

8. Oh I agree and it pisses me off too but it's like the Berlin wall
Just a crack in the wall, it's enough to make you cry to think there's a chance it's someday gonna fall.

3. I just read a good article in Harpers about Straussian disciples
such as Perle, Wolfowitz, Kristol, and a host of others holding sway over conservatives in washington. It's some scarey shit

5. I called her office this morning
I talked to one of her assistants and praised Ms. Pelosi for her courage and said I hoped that Ms. Pelosi would keep it up. Her assistant sounded relieved and even a bit grateful. Her office is probably taking some real heat for her comments. Hang in there, Nancy!

6. I'd give her my vote no matter who she ran against
just for saying what she did. It's such a relief to hear it, and not be alone in your righteous anger. We are angry for a reason, you fuckers in the media, it's not HATRED, it's righteous anger, like when you have been molested. Get it? It's a justified emotion.

7. Here' s my take on it:
For the first 2 years of King George's reign, the Democratic party was beaten into submission. They dared not speak up about anything because the Rim-publicans were holding all the cards....including the aces....including the Joker.

King George plowed ahead, unobstructed. Must have felt real nice....while the going was good.

When the outrageousness reached outlandishness, the Demo-kittens found their voice. They started to speak out. Their voices became louder. Now, the criticism is coming from all corners. A lot of the fear is gone because there are simply too many speaking out (I can't name them all).

Now, it's interesting what's happened to King George and his court. At first, they fought back ferociously. Anyone who dared speak out was shot down. Now, the barrage has simply become too big to fight; they simply can't shut everyone up.

As a result of this inability to shut everybody up, their paranoia is only going to increase. They are like a wild dog, backed into a corner. With every open criticism, their behavior becomes more erratic, their decisions worse. Take a look at Iraq now.

Dangerous on the surface, lacking strength and unity at their core.

9. that was a nice summary of the situation...
and I think we should take our cue from some others on here. We should call her office or email them or somehow voice our GRATITUDE.

I'm sure she's getting bombarded with all kinds of withering anger now.
