Great list of bush's accomplishments
This is by Newark Star-Ledger columnist Fran Woods. She is a moderate in most of her writing.

http://www.nj.com/columns/ledger/wood/index.ssf?/base/columns-0/1084683296161090.xml

Consider what has happened so far on his watch:

The biggest federal surplus in the nation's history has turned into the biggest deficit in the nation's history.

A trillion-dollar tax cut has been pushed through while those deficits were mounting.

America and the world were told the United States had to overthrow another country, Iraq, because of a "threat" that did not exist.

A "we don't need your approval" attitude transformed world sympathy toward the United States after 9/11 into widespread distrust and hatred.

Actions like refusing to sign the international Kyoto accords and softening enforcement standards in domestic clean air legislation has set back decades of environmental progress.

The United States has withdrawn from its long-standing Anti- Ballistic Missile (ABM) Treaty with Russia without consideration either for amending that treaty or helping forge a replacement.

An underfunded "No Child Left Behind" program has shifted massive additional costs to state and local school systems.

Billions in Iraqi reconstruction contracts have been awarded to corporations (Halliburton, Bechtel) with intimate ties to members of the administration.

1. I'll thank him for ONE thing.
He made an actual "activist" out of me. Even when he's finally gone, I won't let up. We got lazy (in general) during the Clinton years, and that's never going to happen again.

So yeah....Thanks, Bush. You fucked up again.

7. Exactly the same story here.
Clinton lulled me into complacency in spite of Gingrich.

2. She is being far too kind to Bushit.
Edited on Sun May-16-04 01:26 PM by Elwood P Dowd
She left out several, including

1- The 545 billion dollar Medicare Bill that puts billions in the pockets of his campaign contributors.

2 - The provisions of the Energy Bill that were placed in other legislation to benefit campaign contributors.

3 - The 500 billion dollar trade deficit.

4 - The appointment of 104 campaign contributors to positions within his administration.

5 - The fewest press conferences of any president in modern times.

6 - His total lack of oratory skills.

7 - Lies and coverups concerning his Air National Guard duty.

There are many others!!

4. After the occupation and decimation of Iraq...
Withdrawing from treaties may go down as one of bush's* most destructive policies. The rest of the world may never again trust this country with decisions because another bush* could just come along and screw it all up.

We have witnessed the beginning of the end for this country. I just don't know what can be done to repair the damage.

8. Well, c'mon. . .
ya gotta give the Schlub partial credit for the "No Call" list. Don't know how effective it'll ultimately prove to be, can't say how much Dimbulb was responsible for it, but it happened on his watch so I'll grant him at least this one point. I hold him accountable for the failures of his "watch," so I'll be magnanimous and give him his one semi-success.

Other than that, he's got nothin'.

10. Vacation days OK, after all, he's not running things anyway!
You see, if you delegate EVERYTHING to your help, you don't have to be there! Goodness, haven't we all had the occasional boss who did the same thing? The old...."Handle it!" philosophy.

The problem is, if things go wrong.......it's the boss who ultimately has to take the HIT!

It's happening folks.......Shrub is going to take the hit, and as happens in all corporations.....the folks who stuck with him (and did the job for him) are gong down with him.
