1. Backfire

The only people who seem to have their hatred for the A-Rabbs stoked is the right-wing Commentariat.

It's going to take another building full of people to pump up hatred -- and even then, it might not work. War without a clear-cut enemy, one who has a capital city and and a military, is no damned fun. And all Iraq is, is another meat-grinder into which we are feeding our young adults.

The carefully-titrated swelling of patriotic pride is wearing off pretty quick now that the death toll is rising.

2. I think there is a real desperation on the part of the Hannity's et al.

They SOUND as if they are real confident that this will get America's war hard-on going again, as is appropriate to the situation. (I listen to little snippets on the radio from time to time.) I think they (and Bush) are hoping this is true.
