I've been searching high and low for the English translation of what was being read in the video and when I found it, I thought others here may be interested.

1. Interesting that the term "Al Queda" was never used

Nor did anybody mention the name of al Zarqawi so much as mentioned, let alone anybody claim to be al Zarqawi.

And this is a U.S. government translation, too!

2. hmmm interesting

no mention of alQuida and a shot at the Pakastani leader

3. It's annonying

that there is lead-in saying, " Al-Qa'ida's leader in Iraq Abu Musab al-Zarqawi beheaded an American civilian..." as if they know who it was.

It is my understanding that they don't know.

4. Didn't the administration try to say that Al-Queda was mentioned

in the translation and then back off of it.

I saw an interpreter on CNN and she stated "it must be an honest mistake but Al-Queda is never once mentioned in this statement."

She also said the accent does not match Zarqawi's.

5. is "fed up"

a arabic phrase? to me it reads awfully fake. not enough praise to allah and other religous references that most muslim writers or speakers use..to me it sounds to western to me....

7. Things like that are common in translation, esp where idiomatic

expressions are concerned.
