Bush passed on chance to get Berg's killer prior to war
Killbotfactory posted this in another thread. I think it deserves its own.

Abu Musab Zarqawi, a Jordanian militant with ties to al-Qaida, is now blamed for more than 700 terrorist killings in Iraq.

But NBC News has learned that long before the war the Bush administration had several chances to wipe out his terrorist operation and perhaps kill Zarqawi himself — but never pulled the trigger.

1. If this was published on March 2, why haven't we heard it on
the regular news?

5. I posted this before.
I posted this when it first came out. It was an investigative report done by NBC. It wasn't picked up by the other networks (probably a combination of not wanting to bash bush and not wanting to credit NBC for having done some actual work for once)

2. uh oh, what do the "they're white CIA Americans" people do/say now
Edited on Tue May-11-04 04:52 PM by Bombtrack
after all they KNOW they were right on identifying the killers as spooks because it was an evil act and the CIA is evil but that must mean Zarqawi works for the CIA. Yeah that's the ticket.

7. And why didn't they take him out when they had the chance?
I really am interested in hearing the reason they didn't 'pull the trigger'.

4. Something's not right here
One person has been blamed for 700 killings in Iraq? Isn't that close to the number of soldiers killed in Iraq since last May?

It's not you or the other poster, I just smell a rat.

8. Isn't there now a question whether...
it was Abu Musab Zarqawi? I read that CNN is saying that the voice on the tape is not his based on voice comparisons or something like that.
