Does anyone know anything about these photos or the background research on the depleted uranium weapons?

1. It's spelled "depleted"

I saw some of these photos about a year ago. There's a different type of depleted uranium being used in the current war, and our govt. is in denial that it poses dangers to our troops or anyone else. Standard govt. defense - "there is no recognized scientific evidence of health hazards from exposure." They can say this because research protocols take many years to gather enough data. Of course if it then is scientifically proved that the new form of DU (depleted uranium) is as or more harmful than that used in the first Gulf War, the Bush crowd will just denounce the science completely.

3. Welcome to DU.....

...I have seen those and similar pictures on the internet. They are horrible and what is coming to light now regarding military secrecy and cover-up make me once again question what our government does and what our government keeps from us and the world. I hope you will keep coming to DU and reading the postings, questioning and thinking deeply about the direction we as a nation are taking. God knows we need to find and pick leaders who will put a stop to the lies and the atrocities that bring pain and suffering to innocent people around the world.

4. Here are some sources on DU research.

I got these from a post by Robb on August 25, 2003, identified as ID number 226631 in my old posts archive. It was titled: "OK. Explain depleted uranium to me." I don't know where you plug in the ID number to get the old post. Maybe someone can provide that info.
