a cspan caller just said it. we should ban and control cameras from now on. yeah, that'll fix the problem.

we need more photos of war and what it's all about. the images SHOULD turn our guts, we SHOULD see what our tax dollars go for.

Noone has really commented on it, but this goes to the heart of what Rumsfeld's biggest outrage was during his testimony to Congress. With each body he stated the "real crime" is that a confidential report was leaked. While I can understand wanting to get to the bottom of it, not one senator took issue with it; same with the House. To me, this is the most damming statement from him and reveals alot.

Sy Hersh said the photos were part of the torture program. The jailers threatened to distribute them in these poor fucks' neighborhoods. Humiliation is an important aspect in breaking people.

to ban cameras, stop funding the Red Cross, and other equally foul things. These callers represent the tip of the iceberg of "repug philosophy" that then tends to appear in "mass media coverage" i.e., Rush, Hanity, etc.
But I have heard this often enough on C-Span that I am sure that's what they want. Some of them insisted these were just childish pranks!
