Support For UK Withdrawal From Iraq Grows
7am News
8:45 pm PST, 9 May 2004

A poll published by The Independent newspaper shows that 55 percent of Britons want the withdrawal of British troops from Iraq after the handover of power on June 30.

In April an ICM survey had found that 51 percent of Britons were in favour of keeping British troops in the country for as long as necessary.

But according to the latest poll, only 28 percent of respondents want British troops to stay in Iraq after June 30.

The survey was carried out as news broke that prisoners had been abused by US and British forces in Iraq.

1. Maybe if sanity by the British is demonstrated....
...more thinking Americans will change their minds and put a stop to the insanity of this administration.
