Rumsfeld's Dysfunctional Family Position
Do you know any parents like these?

"Don Rumsfeld is the best secretary of defense the United States has ever had," Cheney, who has sometimes taken a lead role in advancing White House positions, said in a statement issued by his office late on Saturday.

"People ought to get off his case and let him do his job," Cheney said.

<s>
President Bush said he had admonished Rumsfeld last week over his initial handling of the controversy, a rare public White House reference to a rebuke. But he said later Rumsfeld would remain in the cabinet.
<s>
And the *best buddy* >>

"Americans want to keep Rumsfeld on the job. Why? Because the guy in the glasses they see on TV is the guy who is protecting them by going after the terrorists. That's who he is to the average American. That's the place he's earned since 9/11," Kellems said.

*Daddy* pats him on the head, but *mommy* "rebukes" him before welcoming back into open arms. The *best buddy* is totally delusional about his friend's value, abilities and place in the world.

They're still taking a look at the damage wrought by his failures>>

The Washington Post said administration officials had been reviewing the additional photographs. The newspaper quoted a Pentagon official as saying the images, including some digital video files, depicted "live-action abuse."

"It's horrible," the official was quoted as saying. The article said some White House officials were pushing for immediate release of the photos, while the Pentagon was instead considering offering viewings to Congress.

Will *daddy's* will prevail, and everyone just GET OFF HIS CASE!!
*mommy* will go along with *dad's* plan, now that she has taken care of her "rebuke" responsibility.

Will any of the characters ever realize that Rumsey works in the DEFENSE department, while the current crisis is {very} OFFENSIVE in nature?
Might make a difference. Stay tuned for more live action abuse of our historical checks and balances system of justice.

he said it about the prison ("it happened on my watch. i accept responsibility."). let him say it about september 11th.

3. Senators: Rumsfeld investigation will go on
Lawmakers to examine secretary's handling of prison scandal
Sunday, May 9, 2004 Posted: 3:16 PM EDT (1916 GMT)

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Congress will investigate Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld's handling of the Abu Ghraib Iraqi prison scandal despite Vice President Dick Cheney's call for lawmakers to leave him alone, senators said Sunday.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-South Carolina, said critics who call for Rumsfeld's resignation were "missing the boat." But he told NBC's "Meet the Press" that Cheney's statement Saturday night was similarly misguided.
<s>
But Sen. John McCain, R-Arizona, said Congress needs to make sure "that actions are taken quickly."

"I certainly believe that Vice President Cheney in no way meant that the Congress shouldn't carry out its responsibilities," McCain, another Armed Services member, told "Fox News Sunday." "It's not a privilege that we have. It's our responsibility to find out what happened, to examine this whole process that led us to this shameful moment in America's history."
<s>
Rep. Harold Ford, D-Tennessee, stopped short of calling for Rumsfeld's ouster Sunday, but he told CNN, "I'm one member of the United States Congress who supported the authorization of the use of force who has lost confidence in this defense secretary."
