Check out the cover of this week's "The Economist" - "Resign, Rumsfeld"

Here's their article to the story:

And another article about Rumsfeld entitled "The buck stops where?" with an arguably graphic photo:

1. Bush will never hold anyone accountable...

He is the King, you see. He doesn't have to do what the peasants want. He is royalty, appointed by God. And he is on a mission from the Lord to crush all evildoers.

The Economist must not have gotten the memo.

7. I also see Bush did not go on the TV every one in the Middle East ----
looks at, but the one we tax payers set up. I wonder if he thought about all the people in Iraq he has had his army mowed down this last year, while all this was going on?

3. Brilliant

The old-fashioned, "I have a conscience" type of Righties write for them. Makes me wonder if neo-con fundie maniacs are only Americans.

(oops I forgot Thatcher)

9. The Economist isn't that easy to pigeon-hole politically
They're pretty liberal in terms of social issues, but their generally center-right economically (although VERY pro-free trade).

4. This is the end for Rumsfeld.
I know he's a tough guy and he's weathered many a storm, but he cannot hold back the tide any longer.

It's simply too big for him. I'd be surprised if he lasts over the weekend. I've read the same thing in foreign online newspapers: they are calling for him to GET OUT. Come Monday, he'll be gone.

And this is BEFORE the movie "premiere" of the US troops raping a 12-year old in the prison.

8. Bush is going, too
He won't be running in Nov. He'll be impeached or have to resign.

5. The Apologist throws a bone
to the left every six months or so. Just to keep up a semblance of appearing objective. I'm surprised Alan Colmes doesn't write for them...
