This gang has perpetrated so many wrongs, and killed so many people, while millions have been on to them, I doubt that our knowing they are criminals will keep them from committing further high crimes.

They lie - lies which take thousands of lives - and when their deceit is exposed it's all they can do to shrug, "Whatever."

I've been thinking about this a lot: "knowledge is power." And I've come to the conclusion that's bullshit. Because I'm better informed right now than I've ever been in my life, and I've never felt more impotent.
