"What a wonderful War" ..........apologies to louie armstrong
I see Saddam Hussein, Osama too,
the terror they've caused, for me and you,
and I think to myself, what a wonderful war.

I see shock and awe, for nine one one,
we'll wreak revenge, on everyone,
and I think to myself, what a wonderful war.

The horror of the missiles, falling from the sky,
you see it in the faces, of the people as they die,
I see moms holding kids, as they bleed and cry,
and they look up to god, and ask him "Why?".

I see babies crying, they'll never grow,
they'll never learn, what we all know,
yes, I say to myself, what a wonderful war.

.......i can't get over the surreal feeling i get whenever i hear that commercial on t.v. for mci. some lady, and tony bennet singing 'what a wonderful world' in between commercials for viagra and photos of p.o.w.'s being tortured by u.s. army soldiers.
i can hardly stand to hear one of my favorite songs anymore.

what a wonderful war

1. Several new choruses and refrains to the one I found a while ago...
George W. Bush's Wonderful World
(With Apologies to Louis Armstrong...)

I see seas of green, tax cuts for my friends
I see them bloom for me but not for your ends
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world

I privatize all so my friends will do well
You'll pay dearly ahead, we will have had ours
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world

We're all so secure knowing I'm at the helm
With Ashcroft and TIA both watching us then
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world

I say who needs laws? and might makes right
I'll go it alone, our allies aren't tight
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world

The axis of evil isn't behavin'
One is rantin', the other not cavin'
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world

The colours of the rainbow, so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see people's hands shakin', sayin' "I've got mine"
They're really saying "Screw you"

I hear babies cryin', I watch them grow
They'll pay much more than I'll ever know
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world
Yes, I think to myself, what a wonderful world

Oh yeah
