Where is the American public’s outcry against what has happened in Iraq this week. We, Americans, are responsible for less than civilized treatment of other humans and for what reason? We have killed thousands, we have lost hundreds, we have maimed, dismembered, and destroyed and for what reason?

The Republicans told us that the country was in danger, it was not! The Republicans told us that we needed to replace a torturer, a killer and we became the torturer and killer! The Republicans told us that we were going to bring democracy and we are only replacing Saddam with his henchmen!

Why isn’t there an outcry against the lies, the truths and the Republican party?

4. Yes Lone, it sounds like you're a

lone voice in the wilderness. I really fear for my country right now. Just imagine, the repugs and their talk shows justified all this as "just a fraternity prank".

And this is coming from the heirs of the people 230 years ago, who had to fight for the freedom they believed in. They wanted out from oppression and colonialism (King George of England).

There can be only one outcome of this arrogance and self-destructive attitudes: a correction of some kind.

8. We are what we were

Hypocrites.

We ran away from oppression and colonialism to found our own colonies, exapand them via cheating (Native Americans), subjugation (everybody who we could get), and war (Texas, et al), and oppress others (slavery).

We are a Hypocracy. (not hypocrisy, "hypocracy" is a form of government. The one the USA is running.)

I am outraged at the treatment and even more outraged at the "conservatives" who try to justify it! If the situation were reversed, they would be insisting we nuke Iraq in retaliation.
