I think we'll see the Constitutional face jobs done by Bush, Cheney, Asscrotch, Condescending Rice & Co. in much the same light we're seeing McCarthyism today, or the oppression of Japanese-Americans during WWII and cringe at how stupid this country could be.

That is, unless Bush & Co succeed in taking over everything and imposing a totalitarian corporate society and prevent us from thinking and speaking freely.

It's kind of scary to think where this country is economically and socially.

1. As very very dark days.
That's how I already look at them. I am hoping for happier times soon.

4. If there is a history to be written
...it will record this time as a period when a large but vocal minority stoked on the ravings of a piss poor biblical scholar turned pulp novelist went completely insane and managed to dominate US politics, much the way the Nazis did in 30s Germany.

Be afraid.

6. I can't say what "history' will say
but I hope that most of the young people who manage to make it to the year 2054 will look back and see this time as the best of their lives. A time when they rose to a challenge and defeated an enemy creating a better world for themselves and their children.
I hope they can feel much the same as many of us in our fifties feel about the world as it was 50 years ago!

9. lol
You stole my answer. I was just going to say the same thing, "We will all be dead". Probably some nuclear disaster to start the return of Bush's christ.
