Feeding the Hungry
I am not sure whether this topic has been discussed about before...

There is a vicious cycle of hunger and sickness that has always impacted the youngest members of every society that exists today.
Sick children cannot eat and hungry children more readily contract disease.
Many scientists tell us that hunger can be eliminated around the world... if the human community makes a commitment to strive for this noble goal.
For any child anywhere on this planet to die of hunger or suffer malnourishment, especially when there is enough resources to sustain us all is a moral outrage in my opinion.

We have to ask ourselves these questions:

What would happen if we truly made enough food for all a priority in our daily choices?

Would we continue to consume more than we need to?

Would we even have leftovers?

Would we provide without giving a second thought, money to someone if they needed to eat?

Would we even be thankful at each and every meal that we eat?

Note to Mods: Feel free to move this to its proper forum...Thanks.

1. George McGovern wrote a book on this
The new poll showing that Democratic voters are unsatisfied with their party should be listened to by the leadership, unfortunately it won't be. Issues like raising minimum wage, Caring for children, and feeding the hungry are issues almost everyone can work together on and it would do the party good to focus on these issues more instead of rooting for Bush's illegal wars.

2. I always liked George
We really do need to return to the true Progressive, Liberal and leftist roots of the old Democratic party...
