Kerry for Allowing Drugs from Other Countries-things like this are winners
Just happened to pick up this evening that Kerry is in favor of allowing importation of drugs from other countries (i.e, like many mayors, governors, etc. are considering to handle healthcare costs). For some reason when I heard that I thought that it's just things like this that can knock "Iraq" off the front pages in the minds of the American public. It's very hard right now (and the media intends to keep it that way) to get out messages on the economy, jobs, etc. People tend to tune out to "I promise 10 million jobs", etc. But this puts Kerry right up against "GWB--Drug Corporations' Call Boy". Not many Americans are going to be against this; yet, to hear Bush defend it makes them say "sure, honey, you will do anything to protect your buddies at our expense". I posted this because this is one issue that 'talks' to people and they listen. Kerry needs to now actively each day put this in his stump speeches and do ads on it. There are perhaps several other areas that make the same impact and also need to be pushed: example: His promise not to reinstate the draft put into a message that implies that the minute Bush steps into the Oval Office for a second term, there will be one. John needs to stop a lot of "vague" defining of himself like these new ads of his and do this type of direct hit. People will listen to that type of message.
