Little Help Please With A Bush Quote.
I was talking to a friend in Buffalo who said the pResident had very little to say while there. The one comment that did cause a little stir was when Smirk said local officials need to focus on trash removal and potholes. I think he always says this, does this ring a bell with anyone?

2. Hit the pavement...

President Bush seems to have developed a powerful obsession with asphalt. Wherever and whenever the president sees a mayor, he blurts out one word: "potholes."

Bush has employed this word association about 30 times in speeches, when he introduces the local mayor.

If Tampa Mayor Pam Iorio wants to appease Republicans who were miffed that she skipped President Bush's Tampa appearance in February, she apparently can show up for a Bush speech in any town in America and hear the same message.

Fill the potholes

Google bush + speech + potholes.

5. Yet another talking point
National level: "terra, 9/11, stay the course"

Local level: "potholes."

Someone must have told Bush that people hate those freaking potholes, so he ran with it. He is so incredibly disingenuous. I wonder if there is a pothole near the 50 tons of mustard gas on that turkey farm?

6. Potholes remind Bush of all the dry oil wells he dug.
