2. He looks so uncomfortable. And he and Matt couldn't get their timing
together. Dean does not go over well on tv. He looks as though he sitting on something that's hurting. And the smile - egads!

3. Give it a break. Chimpy
Although I didn't see it, I saw the repeat of him on Larry King early this morning. He seemed a little nervous, but he addressed the issues squarely, he isn't a slick, schmoozing insider, with oily platitudes and circular answers.

You have an agenda and I can't imagine anyone other than you who would rave about that monotone, Gephardt waxing eloquently. Gephardt, in a position of leadership, the one party responsible more than any other, for sinking the Democratic argument against the rash Iraq vote.

He already failed.

4. Sorry, CWebster. I saw it, and called it. Dean is bad on tv.
I also think he is a weak candidate, with no stature, experience running a tiny, white state - he's just not ready for the big time. I also think he has run a very dirty campaign, attacking the other candidates to get headlines, and shifting his positions to get supporters. That's my opinion, and I hope you can respect it.

I do not support Gephardt in the primaries. My favorite is Edwards - I think he has tremendous appeal, and his populist pitch will play across the country. Kerry I also like.

My dream would be for Gore to get back in.

6. Dream on
Gore, hell, Lieberman has destroyed it for him by mere association.

Edwards? Who's that?

;-)

7. Respect slanderous, unfounded and false opinions?
Not me.

You can think he's got a wierd smile if you want -- I think it's dazzling and there's another version that's quite endearing. But to say he's running a dirty campaign is over the top.

He's not shifted any opinions. And anyone who says he's "attacking other candidates to grab headlines" is either politically naive (and ill-informed) or is letting their agenda run away with him or her. This is a PRIMARY. IF there's no differentiation between the candidates, the voters will have to decide on personality. Plus, there's a huge difference between his and say, Kerry's campaign. Dean levels his criticisms himself; Kerry is content to let his campaign (Chris LaHane) lob firebombs and snippy comments so Kerry APPEARS to keep his hands clean. Blah. I find that cowardly and dishonest.

10. Of course I'd vote for him. Geez.
Unlike so many around here who have declared they will only vote for Dean, I will support the Democratic candidate - whoever it is. I just hope we put up the strongest person against * - and I don't think it's Dean.
