Please help me put together a list of "coincidences" and other "anomalies" surrounding the events of 9/11. The ones enumerated below are just a start. I know there are many others. Please add to the list! Thanks, BMU 1. In the summer of 2001 many countries had warned the US that "terrorist attacks" were highly likely if not imminent 2. On September 7, 2001, Florida Governor Jeb Bush signed Executive Order 01-262 placing the Florida National Guard, a unit of the Federal U.S. Army, in control of all Florida law enforcement 3. On the morning of 9/11, Pakistani Intelligence head, later referred to as "9/11 terrorists money man," General Mahmoud Ahmad, was having breakfast with members of the House Intelligence Committee including Co-Chairmen of the Joint-Intelligence Committee investigating the 9/11 attacks, Senator Bob Graham and Representative Porter Goss 4. Surface to air missiles were placed on the roof of the Colony Beach Resort where President Bush spent the night of 9/10 5. On the morning of 9/11 a van carrying several Middle Eastern men claiming to be a television news crew attempted to gain entry into the resort. They were turned away by the Secret Service but not questioned or arrested 6. The President's Daily Briefing at 8 AM on 9/11 included reference to heightened terrorist risks reported throughout the summer 7. President Bush was riding in his Limousine on his way from the resort to the Booker Elementary School when the first plane hit the WTC 8. The Presidential limousine has sophisticated, high tech communications equipment including television 9. On two separate occasions less than two months after 9/11, Bush publicly stated that he saw the first plane hit the first tower on live television even though there was no public broadcast of that event (footage of the first plane strike did not surface till 9/12) 10. Despite the many warnings he and his administration had received, Bush claimed in both instances noted above that his first thought was "that must be one bad pilot" 11. No one in the press has asked the President to explain these bizarre statements 12. There are six OTHER versions of how Bush learned about the first plane crash, each of them different 13. After leaving the Presidential limousine but before entering the school room where he was to listen to grade school children practice reading skills, President Bush had a phone conversation with National Security Advisor, Condoleezza Rice "on a secure line" 14. At that time, just before 9 AM, the FAA and NORAD knew that multiple planes had been hijacked and one had been crashed into the WTC. The National Security Advisor to the President should have been fully aware of this information 15. Despite knowing that a plane had hit the WTC, President Bush continued on with his day as if nothing unusual were taking place 16. Later, even after being informed by Chief of Staff Andrew Card that a second plane had hit the WTC and that "America was under attack," Bush did not ask for more information, did not look surprised or alarmed and, in fact, continued to sit in the classroom for at least another 15 minutes 17. A year after 9/11, Andrew Card claimed that "it was only a matter of seconds" after being informed of the second WTC crash before Bush excused himself. Video evidence proves conclusively that statement is false 18. The appearance of President Bush at the school had been publicized on September 7th--the same day his brother, the Governor, signed the executive order mentioned above--and was widely known 19. The Secret Service did not evacuate President Bush from the school, even though multiple planes had been hijacked and were being used as bombs against targets 20. Bush does not leave the school for the airport and Air Force One until 9:35 AM -- a full 30 minutes after the second plane strike 21. The White House would subsequently report that direct "inside" threats had been made against Air Force One using secret codes showing knowledge of highly classified presidential procedures 22. This story of a direct threat to Air Force One was eventually revealed to be bogus but no one knows from where it originated 23. Fighter escorts for Air Force One did not arrive until almost two hours after departure from Sarasota Florida even though they are supposed to be on 24-hour alert 24. After zigzagging across the country, President Bush's plane lands at Oufutt Air force Base 25. Business executives, some of whom worked in the WTC, caught early planes to attend a meeting at Offutt Air Force Base on the morning of September 11th 26. Chief of Security for the WTC, John O'Neil, had been counter-terror head of the FBI but resigned due to frustrations investigating Saudis "playing games with the US government." 9/11 was his first day on the job 27. The flight data recorders from every plane but Flight 93 were either deemed unrecovered or too damaged to yield data. 28. The cockpit voice recorders from every plane but Flight 93 were either deemed unrecovered or too damaged to yield data 29. None of the electronic records of the monitoring of the hijacked flights by air traffic control systems have been released 30. No interviews with air traffic controllers involved in the incident have been released 31. Pentagon officials canceled travel plans on September 10th 32. San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown received a warning not to fly on September 10th 33. The CIA was conducting a test on 9/11 of procedures for dealing with hijackings 34. Two employees of Odigo, the instant messaging service, received e-mail warnings of the attack two hours before the first assault on the WTC 35. The alleged hijackers partied at topless bars and drank alcohol, despite being portrayed as fundamentalist Muslims, for whom such behavior would be surprising 36. There is no hard evidence that any of the alleged hijackers were on any of the doomed flights 37. Many of the alleged hijackers were under surveillance by intelligence agencies 38. Military sources gave the FBI information suggesting that five of the alleged hijackers received training at secure U.S. military installations in the 1990s 39. Military source said it is possible that the hijackers may have stolen the identities of the foreign nationals who studied at the U.S. installations. 40. Alleged lead hijacker Mohammed Atta was enrolled as a student at the International Officer's School of Maxwell Airforce Base 41. According to his stripper girlfriend, Mohammed Atta was fluent in many languages, including Hebrew, and carried a folder with many different ID's in it 42. No video of any of the 19 hijackers at any of the three originating airports of the four flights has been made public 43. None of the alleged hijackers' names appeared on the airlines' passenger lists 44. Eight of the alleged hijackers have turned up alive since the attack (in other words, their identities had been stolen) 45. No remains of any of the hijackers was identified at any of the crash sites 46. None of the alleged hijackers were good pilots, yet the three buildings were hit with phenomenal precision 47. Fourteen of the alleged 9/11 hijackers made Florida their base of operation and clustered around two flight schools 48. Speaking about the alleged hijackers, a former Huffman Aviation executive said, "Early on I gleaned that these guys had government protection. They were let into this country for a specific purpose. It was a business deal." Four hours after the attacks, the FBI visited this man's home for the purpose of intimidating him into silence. The man says his phones were bugged, and thinks the pilots were "double agents." He quit the flight school fearing for his life. 49. Florida Governor Jeb Bush personally accompanied the FBI when they seized alleged terrorist flight school records at 2 AM on September 12, flying them to Washington DC 50. In days immediately following 9/11 members of the Saudi family were allowed to leave the US while other commercial airlines were grounded 51. None of the 4 flight crews radioed Air Traffic Control about hijackings in progress 52. None of the 4 flight crews punched in the four-digit hijacking code 53. None of the 4 flight crews were able to stop the alleged hijackers, in spite of several of the pilots being Vietnam veterans 54. The FAA took 18 minutes to report Flight 11's loss of communication and deviation from its flight plan 55. The FAA took 39 minutes to report Flight 77's deviation from its flight plan 56. In June of 2001, the military's procedures for dealing with hijackings were changed to reroute the command chain away from local commanders through the office of the Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld 57. NORAD's press release contradicted early statements by high-ranking officials that no interceptors had been scrambled on 9/11/01 58. NORAD's vague time line raises far more questions than it answered, yet officials have never been required to give a full account 59. Despite the fact that Flights 11 and 175 were headed for New York City, no interceptors were scrambled from nearby Fort Dix or Laguardia, or from Langley, Virginia. 60. The two F-15s scrambled from Otis AFB to chase Flight 11 flew at an average of 447 mph, about 23.8% their top speed of 1875 mph. 61. The two F-16s scrambled from Langley to protect the capital flew at an average of 410.5 mph, about 27.4% of their top speed of 1500 mph. 62. Nearby fighters on routine patrol duty were not redeployed to intercept the airliners, nor were fighters that belatedly reached Manhattan sent to defend the capital 63. Two F-15s flying off the coast of Long Island were not redeployed to Manhattan until after the second tower was hit 64. The two F-15s scrambled from Otis AFB to protect Manhattan could have reached the capital in 9.6 minutes once they arrived over New York City. That was still 34 minutes before the Pentagon was hit. 65. When Flight 11 hit the North Tower at 8:46 AM, the World Trade Center buildings were at less than half the occupancy of a typical mid-day 66. No one has ever been held to account for the numerous unprecedented failures in air defense 67. General Richard Myers, Acting Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff on September 11th, was confirmed as Chairman on September 13th in spite of being unable to provide any meaningful answers to questions regarding the air defense failures 68. The total collapses of WTC 1, 2, and 7 were the three largest engineering failures in history 69. FEMA was given the sole authority to investigate the collapses even though it is not an investigative agency 70. The investigative team assembled by FEMA consisted of unpaid volunteers 71. The investigators were not allowed access to Ground Zero 72. The investigators were not provided with the blueprints of the buildings 73. FEMA's report states the causes of the collapse "remain unknown at this time". Building 7 failed in a way that contradicts 100 years of engineering experience making it the largest and least understood structural failure in history 74. No one in Congress or the mainstream media has yet demanded clarification of the many obvious inconsistencies that make up the "official version" of what happened on 9/11/01
