On The Trail of the Bush Campaign
written by Brian Swanson

Upon hearing that President bush was going to be in Santa Clara on Thursday, March 4th I made plans to be at the Santa Clara Convention Center where the Republican "machine" was holding a $1-5000 per plate fund-raiser.

At approximately ten AM I proceeded to the Convention and quickly made my way as close as the "phalanx" of security would allow me. "His holiness" was "off-limits" to the spectators and on-lookers on the street. The police had carefully placed barricades to "funnel" protestors into a narrow area, adjacent to the parking lot of the Convention Center.

2. Relax .. just a little
1. There is no "Dominionist Church." It's a movement within American Protestantism. A neo-fascist movement to be sure, but it's not a church. In fact, I would argue that it's a heresy in the theological sense.

2. Bush is not the head of the church. Many Dominionists believe that Bush has been annointed by God to cleanse the world of evil-doers. Bush himself appearantly believes this, too.

3. Yes, this is bad. No, it's not an official thing, and a large number of evangelicals and fundamentalists have begun to actively question what has happened to their churches.

As the Mormons would say, "all in the fullness of time."

4. This is highly troubling

I've been reading about these people for awhile, and I'm convinced it's their goal to destroy America to install a theocracy.

They are very outnumbered, and the only way that will happen is if we stand by and let them.

3. interesting
and it will be the same at the conventions. They only way the media reports on protests is when they shut down a major street. Then they usually pick out the most outlandish costumed "radical" in the crowd to focus on so our protests are marginalized as the "wacko fringe"
