One problem with the Osama statement
Edited on Thu Apr-15-04 09:17 PM by Must_B_Free
it seemed to be not entirely unreasonable. From what I heard, it sounded like he wanted the meddlers and opportunists to leave the Muslims alone.

Clearly, the west seems to have unfairly infringed upon Iraq.

How can we do anything without moral high ground? It seemed that Islamic has the moral high ground at this moment? And some of that stuff he said about the US sounded like it rang true, didn't it. Forgive me if I have missed something horrendous which I don't mean to endorse.

I certainly didn't buy their justification of their (radical Islam's) horrendous crimes against humanity. But, I feel that we are certainly not justified in our position either.

Just how are you supposed to feel pride in a turkey shoot?

1. You can't give in, though. Next thing, we'll have to give up Britney.

2. See what I mean?
I'd wholeheartedly support dumping that talentless cheerleader.

3. "One problem"? You mean, besides its being fake?
It's time to trot out the boogeyman again, the natives have been getting restless.

Control through fear. What else do the bushies have going for them?

4. CNN calling it real (via CIA)
FOX calling it fake.

So it's your guess as to which way the facists are spinning it.

I don't necessarily thin it was Osama, but rather "Osama" as the symbol of Islamic self determination.

8. I think it's psyops, done by OUR guys.
Like, oh, I don't know... maybe the Office of Special Plans?

It's deep politics, people need to start looking behind the "3rd curtain" of this Global Oil Kabuki show. NOTHING is what it looks like on the surface.

5. Are you joking?????
I certainly hope so. "The Islamics have the moral high ground now'?
While their minions are taking pot shots at our boys? Are you out of your mind??
I'm sorry to be so blunt, but my nephew has been in Tikrit for five months and Iraq for almost a year....and you think the words of the vile bastard who authored 9-11 "rang true"?????? You actually trust anything that murderous son of a bitch says???? God help us and God help our boys.

11. I'm not joking
"While their minions are taking pot shots at our boys?"

Just like we did to the RedCoats. You seem to forget who is occupying who's country. That's why this war is unwinnable, it is morally wrong. War is about hearts and minds and no amount of superior firepower will win hearts and minds. People ALWAYS defend their land to the death, whether it's us or them or anyone.

13. It's NOT the rank and file Iraqi citizens
who are taking shots at our boys. Joe (my nephew) has said the citizens are overwhelmingly friendly, supportive, and appreciative. It's the imported insurgents and the Baathist sympathizers who are waging war with us. Where on earth do you get the idea that the general population opposes us? I guess it has been painted this way on the news but it is just absolutely the total opposite of the way it is.

6. An INSIGHT for you
the most interesting part of tape has been completely ignored by the media:

the part that includes a lengthy analysis about the goals behind Iraq invasion. it talks about halligburg, the panac, and the "narrow-minded profeeters in the admin and the corporate that really rule the country" it missed also the part that woe vengeance for the death of the Palestinian old cleric killed the the Zionist butcher. among other things

I think they want people to think talking about Halliburton makes you a terrorist.

edit: NewsMax has already picked up on this angle...

10. Maybe if every Freeper donates three of their lost teeth
to provide transplants for Bin Laden supporters, he'll leave us alone.

Seriously, anyone who thinks Bin Laden is "not entirely unreasoable" is either a)trying to make Dems look bad or b)a fool.

tell lies to whip up an army?
travel half way around the world to invade another nation that has not attacked us?

I support our country, but only so far in that it does what is morally right.

We wouldn't be getting taken hostage and shot at and mutilated if we were morally right. Our troops wouldn't be on the virge of revolt if we were morally right. There would not be so many innocent bystanders dead if this were morally right. War is not morally right except perhaps to prevent genocide.
