Bush still believes in WMD?
Has anyone brought up the fact that Bush still believes there are WMD's to be found? Even after countless reports from competent people telling him otherwise? Does he only believe in the unseen, the improvable? Also, why didn't any of the reporters state that WMD were said to be planted by the Iran border police?

2. I think he's still allowed to hold on to hope
it's impossible to prove a negative.... so he's still got hope.

3. Unlike others at DU I think we need to give this process more time.......
the Bushies have been working hard to plant WMD's and may succeed so he shouldn't give up hope just yet. :bounce:

5. He brought it up again last night. Citing a Turkey Mustard Gas Farm and
again said WMD will be found. Repeat the "big lie often enough and folks will believe you." He said it to keep the lie going with his Fundie Repugs who would follow him off a cliff if he said "Jump!"

6. To me, his most glaring disconnect with reality last night was when he...

... said "he refused to disarm" in response to a question about how he "got that so wrong?" (about WMDs) and why he "took this nation to war on the basis of what have turned out to be a series a false premises?"

He is basically being asked how he could have thought Iraq was armed with WMDs when we now all know they were not armed, and he says we invaded because "he refused to disarm".

Astounding! Simply astounding!

7. Of course he does - Plant them now, wait 6 months - Voila!
October Surprise! What do you think it is that Jim Baker is doing, anyway? The "cover story" is that he is trying to get allies to forgive Iraq's debt. But there have been no progress reports on that and he has been at it for several months.
