How else do you stop the world's worst leader with the world's worst weapons?

1. Never happen.
Course there are many things happening in the world right now that 5 years ago I would've said: "Never happen."

:P

5. I've been wondering that too
Now that China and Europe have become much more significant consumers, when will the rest of the world just impose economic sanctions on us? Just stop selling us stuff and stop buying our stuff and funding our wars. Honestly, until the rest of the world has the courage to stand up to us, we're going to run roughshod over them.

I don't want it to happen, it would be pretty difficult for us, and, as we saw in Iraq, the main victims would be the poor. I'd rather we change direction and become part of the world again rather than the ranting Ted Kasczinski-like nation we've become.

6. Bush and co,
not the American people, deserve to be ostracized by the world.

kind of like "the man", since their will be no allies to be
allied with, vs. axis (of evil) powers. who will be the good guys ?

9. It's going to be up to us to change from within.

I have heard this about other countries, but I think it applies to us as well. We shouldn't even have allowed the selection to take place. In hindsight, we should have taken to the streets when the Supreme Court handed the presidency to Bush and insisted that the ruling of the Florida Supreme Court to do a statewide recount be honored. The Supreme Court of the US was way out of their jurisdiction.

Well we let the evil empire take over for almost four years now and look at the destruction of our country as well as others that has happened. So we are passively sitting by waiting for November and hoping Kerry wins. What if he doesn't? Then we are going to have to change things. The Democratic Underground will have to become the citizen's underground for regime change.

On edit: I'm not advocating revolution but citizens actions to bring charges against this regime for violating the constitution so that they can be exposed for the facists that they are.

10. To use an unpopular comparison
Prior to WWII Germany annexed Austria and Czechoslovakia. It was when it invaded Poland that Britain and France declared war. They were enabled to do so due to defense treaties they had with Poland.

If you want to compare the current situation with Pre-WWII, you could replace Austria and Czechoslovakia with Afghanistan and Iraq. You might say other big nations woulod oppose us should we go after one more country, or you might say they won't act until we attack someone they have defense treaties with.

You could make a case that the Arab world is already working against us, so you might say that there is already an allied force of nations going against us.
