Why Aren't The Iraqis Fighting For THEIR Freedom?
That's a very simple question. If what's going on in Iraq is a "few thugs" or a "few terrorists", then why aren't the Iraqis kicking them out. How can you impose an American-style Freedom on a people that don't want it? What's wrong with the media that they cannot ask a simple question like that?

1. No way is it a "few thugs" we're definetly getting BSed
It's definetly not a "few thugs"... The American spin suggests a cordoned-off Fallujah full of small arms fire. I've been talking to people who have been in and out of Fallujah over the past few days, mostly friends of mine trying to take medical supplies in or to get relatives out. The Americans don't control the main highway—their supply convoys are constantly getting hit—and they have not sealed the town effectively. ... http://slate.msn.com/id/2093154/entry/0/

3. Who says they don't want it?
What they want is their country back.

The problem is that they need to eat, and so many are unemployed, and hundreds of their intelligentsia are being assasinated by unknown people for unknown reasons and exectutive order 13303 which gives everything in Iraq to the U.S, and that Americans are building bridges for 5 times what Iraqi co.'s and engineer's can do and that their citizens are being harassed disrepected and slaughtered and that Iraqis are not stupid and they know they've been baited and switched

4. Yes, and what was it * said about the Iraqi oil?
That it was producing lots of revenue and that it belonged to the Iraqi people. This was in response to the question about the before-invasion claims that the oil would pay the costs of the operations and the Iraqis would welcome us with sweets and flowers.

Has anyone seen an accounting of the Iraq oil revenues or any idea of the US being reimbursed?
