NBC News: Kerry trouncing Bush
anyone else just see their report on nightly news?

New poll has Kerry 50, Bush 42 or 43.

Ok, so maybe not exactly "trouncing" but I'll sure as hell take it.

He's SO going down.

1. this is big
it's the first time that the difference is greater than the statistical margin of error, as far as I know.

But they're gonna get real desperate... scary things could happen. I hope Kerry's prepared.

7. Notice the change from the first three to the last two
Kerry's numbers are even better when it's just a two-man race.

4. That would probably be the Newsweek poll
which has Kerry beating Bush 50-43. I think we have a good shot, but it's a long way till November. For now, though, it's clear Iraq is a problem for Bush, and it could very well get worse.

6. I was hoping that they were actually SHOWING A KERRY SPEECH
trouncing Bush.

Too much to hope for,I guess, from either Kerry or the network.

Sigh.:eyes:

14. Kerry should let W sink on his own to prevent claims of 'partisanship'
diluting the effect of the PDB on public opinion.

Edited on Sat Apr-10-04 06:27 PM by janeaustin
except study up on policy, pick a running mate and get some speech coaching.

He is wisely conserving his money and time while BushCo crumbles.

Not quite time yet. Thanks for the heads up - I'll be looking for that. Clearly, it isn't the Gallup Poll.

12. YOU HAVE MADE MY DAY
It's about time the polls showed the obvious. I'm looking forward to Ashcroft and company's testimony next week. Maybe Ashcroft was busy speaking in tongues and covering up bare breasted statues instead of paying attention to Al Quaeda.

15. May It Be So Come November
May a merciful, forgiving Deity grant that the American electorate who goes to the voting booth this November votes for Democrats in such proportions or better. It's till a very long way to go until Election Day.

And may the same Deity allow us to deliver severe drubbings to the incumbent's Banana Republican supporters.

27. My Fear: A God of Justice, Not Mercy
My fear is that the Almighty is a God of justice, not mercy, and he is going to let America reap the consequences of electing Boosh and his Banana Republican supporters. I fear that invoking the Big Guy's name, then working the opposite of what he teaches, leads to very, very bad karma.

16. The Breakdown
To break it down by issues:

Bush has a significant lead on terrorism, Iraq, and foreign policy, and a 3 point lead on taxes. Kerry has a commanding lead on healthcare, a slight one on education and the economy.

The thing to watch though is the economy. Kerry is still up by 5 points there, but he was up by 15 two weeks ago. The jobs-report effect.

18. How can bush have a LEAD on foreign affairs...
when polls show that he didn't do enough before 9/11 and that the war in Iraq is a mess...and there were no WMDs, and the Iraqis are fighting AGAINST US for their freedom...I dont get it...

The only thing that I think Bush can really hold up would be the tax cuts issue, but even that is smoke and mirrors because it ha given us $500 billion deficits...GAACK!

Or, how much worse could it possibly be than it is now? Could he have done a *worse* job on any issue?

It's incredible. What are people thinking?!

26. Kerry's lead on healthcare
reflects what an important issue this has become this year. The time is definitely ripe for this one, and if the party is smart (?), it will LEAP on it, and actually put the wheels in motion for what people WANT:

* NOT tweaking the current system
*NOT throwing out a few bones to the waiting masses

But actually doing what other countries did LONG ago... work on creating a Universal, single-payer system.

We're paying for it, we deserve it, and if everyone will gather their courage together and Speak Out, we can have it. It's an idea whose time has come!

17. GO TEAM!!!!
We're ahead at the start of the second quarter, but the other team has $150,000,000 to spend manipulating the public. We need to run up the score, not try to hold the score!

Please give to John Kerry at https://contribute2.johnkerry.com/contribute.html

Even a small donation will help greatly!

Give John Kerry the ammunition he needs to save this nation!
