Hey Paula: Can Catholics Using ANY Birth Control Receive Communion?

I am so burned up about this Paula Zahn "stone throwing" business about John Kerry going to communion because he is pro-choice. In general I am sick of the RW media using religion as a political tool.

I have a question for all you practicing Catholics (I am one.)

Do you actually buy into the NO BIRTH CONTROL teachings of the church? HELLLOOO??? It's called HAVING AN OLD POPE.

The Church's teachings on this point are so wrong and immoral, IMO. What is a bigger problem today: People using condoms or people not using condoms? When did Jesus say don't use condoms? HOW can they go to these over populated, underfed, AIDS-infected places and go, HEY! GOOD JOB ON THAT CONDOM RESISTANCE.

It's nuts. And I'll bet that 90% PLUS U.S. Catholics think that birth control is a private issue that is left up to each family. When I was a kid every other family at school had 10 kids and now they all have 2. I THINK THEY MIGHT BE USING BIRTH CONTROL. DUH!

Interesting site I found and that I am supporting: CA pro-choice Catholics. And yeah, I'm going to communion Sunday!

2. I have noticed that, too, about the families.

My husband and I grew up in a very catholic town. Many of our classmates came from families with eight or ten kids.

Interestingly, those kids are now grown. I am amazed how many of them have two kids, a year apart. LOL! What happened?

Where can I e-mail paula? It would be fun to give her a piece of my mind -- in a nice way of course!

Cripes, why doesn't she infer that BUSH will lose the Catholic vote since the Pope said the WAR WAS NOT JUSTIFIED AND WOULD JUST LEAD TO MORE VIOLENCE AND SUFFERING? How the hell can any Catholic vote for Chimpy then? Sheesh!
