Thank You Mr. Clarke For Restoring My Faith In America
Just as I had given up and started researching Canadian immigration policy, along comes Mr. Richard Clarke. A thoughtful, honest, man who has the nerve to shout, "The Emperor Has No Clothes!!". I saw his testimony, and I was moved beyond tears. Finally, a government official has apologized for the collasal failure of 9/11 instead of using it as campaign props.

Mr. Clarke has made me feel like we're not alone. That there is an objective truth, and that truth will come forward. Because of you Mr. Clarke, I will stay and fight. I will not go quietly into the night.

Canada can wait.

2. Thank you for saying what I am feeling.
It's also gratifying in a way, that I have found another (rare) honorable person who calls himself a Republican, who I can have a lot of respect for. I have been telling my far-right (non-neocon) friend for a while now, that we actually have some important common ground with true Republicans. If only they would regain control of their party from the neocons!

3. I was thinking the same thing

earlier tonight. Clarke has restored my faith in mankind. He's brought honesty, integrity and responsibility back to the forefront. He's a genuine American Hero!

5. He is the only man I have seen in a long time
that really has a set and stands up for what he believes. There are not to many men like him and he tells it like it is and has the facts to back it up! Can you imagine for one moment if he were president and we were told the truth? The world would be a different place.

7. I'm there
Today was one refreshing day. Even though Wolf the whore Blitzer put a little bit of a damper on it, a few networks got it right. MSNRC with Keith Olbermann highlighting the apology, CBS doing like work, and just witnessing the testimony of a man like Richard Clarke made me believe once again in government, a feeling that has been shaking ever since reading the RFK biography and then witnessing the Reagan and Bush administrations and the absurdity of the hunt of Bill Clinton.

I have today a small glimmer of hope for democracy in America. I hope that it doesn't die too soon.
