Ridge/Cheney job swap?
Just a thought - can get some headlines, diffuse Cheney as VP liability, park Cheney to do some real damage in Homeland Security and set Ridge up for future office run.

What made me think of it was the musical chairs in the Regan/Bush years with Baker etal trading places.

1. Who cares?
The entire Bush Administration is corrupt. You are replacing one ineffectual color-coder with an ineffectual regime changer.
No matter who bush picks, he looses in '04

2. Ridge was offered the job of VP, how many times in 2000
and he turned it down. If they had picked him, he may have brought in PA for Bush. I don't see that working this time, though
