Neal Boortz
For someone who claims to be Libertarian, he makes an awful lot of Pro-Bush speeches on his radio show. Also, he does a lot of Democrat bashing.

1. don't get me started on that idiot
i listen to him on my lunch hour when I'm driving around.

He can't comprehend why Americans care less about the War on Terra and more about the economy.

He keeps preaching that Bush is keeping us safe, and that terrorism should be the number one issue on voters minds this November.

He also says that it's YOUR fault if you don't have a job. Bush can't be held accountable for people's poor career choices.

2. bullshit re libertarian
I know several republicans who, when they are arguing with me, claim to be libertarians so they can avoid embracing the worst repub positions like locking up women who have abortions, ending public education, assault rifles for everybody, banning evolution in the schools, etc. It's just an attempt to mask the fact that they are voting for their (perceived) pocketbook and don't really care about anything else. Boortz is nothing but a routine racist redneck jackass who knows how to play to his racist redneck audience.

4. Boortz's libertarian shtick is just a marketing gimmick

He's as Neo-con as they come.

Boortz needed something to set him apart from all the slavering neocon clones on AM reich-wing radio, so he goes with this libertarian gimmick, tossing a softball bone of criticism at vague strawmen every now and then.

But he LOVES Chimpy and HATES anybody left of fascist.

7. I concur -- Hot'Lanta here
I concur. One morning a real Libertarian called up and said, "Hey, Neal, why didn't I see you at our war protest in New York? You're a Libertarian, right? We're against the war." Boortz said, "Because I don't have to adhere to party dogma!"

A couple months later two of my friends who are big Boortz fans were telling me what Libertarians they are, then went on to parrot Boortz' positions. I said, "If you're Libertarian why are you for the war in Iraq? Let me guess...you don't have to adhere to party dogma?" They said, "THAT'S RIGHT!" I said, "Yeah, I know, that's Boortz' line."

Just got an e-mail from one of these guys saying he was glad to see Stern and Love Sponge booted off the air to stop the nation's declining morals. This guy was a huge Stern and Andrew "Dice" Clay fan just three or four years ago, now he's like this. Boortz' powers of hypnosis are scary.

6. He's a lawyer and a jerk ... wait, isn't that redundant?
At some point in his neanderthal past Boortz was a practicing attorney. About 3 years ago I heard him describing, on his show, how a lady angered him by parking in one of his law firm's reserved slots several times each week while visiting some other company in his building.

He decided to punish her by attaching lots of small plastic tabs with a peel-off super adhesive strip to the painted parts of her car. On a few of the little tabs he attached a note about her parking preferences.

He laughed when he said he knew the plastic tabs, when removed, would also remove the paint under them. He bought them from an office supply store upon a recommendation.

What a guy!

8. Boortz is a total boor.
The only reason he's not as dangerous as Limbaugh is that he's less well known.

9. Real libertarians don't claim Neal Boortz
As one of their own. The libertarian party opposes the war in Iraq, and U.S. militarism, and is highly critical of Bush. Boortz has been a warmonger from the very start and shills for Bush every chance he gets.

Libertarians call his political views Boortzitarianism.
