I just saw a DU'er on FSTV.
Anyone remember GoreN4? He wrote a paper about The Euro vs. The Dollar and it made it to Project Censored list of top censored articles of 2003.

Congratulations William!

2. Yup,dollar/euro hegemony was one of the two primary reasons for Iraq
Peak oil was the other. The availability of cheap energy (in the form of oil and other hydrocarbons) is the engine of economic growth in the US. No cheap energy, no economy.

#19 U.S. Dollar vs. the Euro: Another Reason for the Invasion of Iraq

http://www.projectcensored.org/publications/2004/19.html

snip

In November 2000, Iraq became the first OPEC nation to begin selling its oil for Euros. Since then, the value of the Euro has increased 17%, and the dollar has begun to decline. One important reason for the invasion and installation of a U.S. dominated government in Iraq was to force the country back to the dollar. Another reason for the invasion is to dissuade further OPEC momentum toward the Euro, especially from Iran- the second largest OPEC producer, who was actively discussing a switch to Euros for its oil exports.

5. free speech tv
it`s on dishnetwork and maybe direct and it may be on some cable systems. they have a mix of news and social issue programs, such as covering the war protest live last year. worldlink is another great channel with programs that cover the world and my favorite program-world music videos- it`s worth dishnetwork just to get these two channels.

Its on Dish TV. I doubt Direct TV has it, but some cable providers might. This is the alternative media we have all been looking for.
It needs our support, expecially financially.

WHEN you decide to switch to Dish TV, order it from FSTV's website, and Dish will donate to FSTV:

How Your Purchase Helps Free Speech TV

Free Speech TV is a non-profit organization committed to using TV and the Internet to advance progressive social change. FSTV provides national exposure to ideas and perspectives absent from corporate television. But doing TV is very expensive, particularly for a non-commercial, non-profit organization. We depend upon your support.

For every satellite system purchased through this web page, we receive about $100 from Dish Network. We also get a small part of your monthly subscription fee. These infusions helps us enormously in continue to provide quality programs.

Check out our current program schedule and see what's on FSTV!
