If you lost your extended unemployment benefits, check in here.
It happened in my family. Fortunately for us, it won't be as
hard as it will be for others. That means, if this is part of
the bigger picture, that about two million people are going
bust at the same time.

The repugs didn't extend the extension because "the economy
is so robust, people shouldn't need help."

1. Lost mine
I'm cut off now. My wife has a good job, so it could be worse.

On the other hand, I don't see things getting better any time soon.

As far as the Bush administration is concerned, I don't exist now. I won't be counted as unempoyed.

2. never had any
I quit my job on principle almost two years ago. ( I can't work for someone I can't respect) I don't intend to even look for work until these corporate whores are shut down. As far as the unemployement, I'm sure there are many out there who can use it more than I.

Welcome to DU!

I'm retired and waiting for my next job to find me. If it doesn't, "c'est la vie" (pardon my bastardized French)

I worked for Mississippi Job Service from 1978 until 2001. Congress ALWAYS approved extended benefits for unemployment during difficult economic times.

Another aspect of Bush*'s compassionate copnservatism.

4. I cashed my last check yesterday.
As of now I am without and I have dropped off the unemployment numbers. Wow, I am no longer a statistic-I'm just one of those folks who "refuse" to work...

Amazing how the need for benefits constitutes as refusal to work--isn't it?
