We need another terror attack..........BAD!
The first bushco phony terror attack, on Sept. 11th, 2001, in New York City, in which 3000 people died, and then 10,000 more died in Afghanistan, and then about 10,000 died in Iraq, went very well I think. It was a deliberate, well planned, inside job, with a bad guy and and official story of blame the very next day. The outcome, mind-control through fear and intimidation, could not have been better.
Little georgey made out like a bandit, got everything he ever wanted, and even had millions of people fooled into thinking he was Churchillian.

We all behaved exactly as they predicted. We were really terrified, and frightened into military action, so we could begin sacrificing EVEN MORE of our citizens for political gain and profit. We all sucked in the official story, we all waved flags and we all sacrificed by going out and shopping like the president commanded.
The whole sick, gruesome hoax played out so well, and the wave of hysteria had such a perfect outcome that it would be silly not to do it again. Especially now that things are starting to unravel a bit for bushco.

So I suspect, that any day now, really over the next year leading up to election day, there will be a terror attack that totally outdoes 9-11 in all respects. Simply capturing Osama won't be enough, when we 'captured' Saddam, the thrill only lasted 3 days. This time, like the 'authentic' video tapes put out by crazy Muslim warlords have repeatedly warned us, this time it will be truly awful.

And let's face it, we were properly horrified and shocked and awed after 9-11, just as we were supposed to be, but the memory of it has faded away, and the horror has become a distant memory. A memory that we don't want to revisit, or investigate too closely apparently.
The whole effect has worn off, and we need a new horror to put us all back on track to Global Domination and serfdom.

So I fear that sometime, between now and not too close to election day, there will be another phony attack from foreigners who hate our freedoms. A really horrendous event is right now being planned in marble halls, by fat old men in suits, who have stones, instead of hearts in their chests.

What will our collective reaction be this time? The same as last time? Will we rally behind our fearless president again? Will the plan involve 'breaking up a huge terror plot' and appearing to be heroes? When it happens, will bushco say, 'See, I told you so, we need a stronger defense, and a draft now'? Will we be angry that they couldn't stop it? We must prepare ourselves, emotionally, intellectually, and we must eventually wake up to the fact that the 9-11 terror attack was an inside job, orchestrated by bushco.

Insert insults and dirty names here.

2. I thinkanother attack will back fire on them...
...for one simple reason, DHS. They have piled all this money into protecting the "homeland" and yet another terrorist group was able to slip through these defences and atack again?

Let them try it, it will be their political downfall.

Great post BTW, mopaul. :)

3. OK
I didn't think anything could top the cavilier rewriting of rewriting of history in the main post, but then I read yours.

Let them try it? Let them try it!!!!??!!?!???

Let them kill even more than 3,000 of your fellow citizens in an attempt to reelect President Bush.

If you accept what Senor TinFoil Hat at the top is saying, and your post kind of indicates that you do, well than how can you sit there and cavilierly let them kill thousands of your fellow citizens? I'm guessing you live in small town America?

I personally feel this is nonsense, but if I did believe in it, I suspect I would say somethng more than, "Well, politically killing more than 3,000 of my fellow citizens might backfire."

But, I could be wrong.

6. Excuse me...
...but do NOT bawl me out, without knowing me first. Let them try it, is just a figure of speech. I do not want to see moe people killed, for fuck sake what kind of person do you think I am?

As for knocking someone's beliefs about what happened that day, you have no rights what so ever to do that. We all have out own ideas about what happened, and I happen to believe Bush* is liable, be it that he let it happen, or he made it happen. he is guilty.

And BTW not all of the 3000 people killed on that were your fellow citizens. Other countries lost people too, or do you forget that little fact?

8. I know about the previous attempt on the WTC...
...but this time, there are far too many things that happened leading up to 9/11, and then the day after saying who was responsible. No, it isn't hard to believe that terrorist groups reorganized for 9/11, but the Bush* regime is guilty of either letting it happen, or they helped make it happen.

9. Oh man you got me there
If you don't want to get your words critiqued, don't put them on a forum.

I don't know you, do I? But it is a stupid figure of speech, in that context. But, perhaps, I was a bit over the line in my condemnation of you. I apologize for that.

As I said above, I don't believe President Bush guilty in the same sense as you do. I don't believe he knew about it or caused it to happen. I just think that if I did believe that he caused it, I wouldn't take a cavilier attitude about it.

Finally, how do you know I didn't mean fellow citizens of planet earth? I'm also not sure what the point of this line is other than to score points by suggesting I'm provincial.

I am not attacking you for your opinion.

And if you don't want to be made out to look narrow minded, might I suggest you follow my fellow citizens with "of the world?" Usually when someone says "fellow citizens" they are referring to people in their own country.

- the magical undestructable Atta passport
- the magically presentient Ashcroft who decided to stop flying commercial jet liners in 8/01
- the failure to scramble the jets
- Condoleeza's infamous lie in May of 2002
- the anti-aircraft battaries in Genoa Italy protecting bush in 7/01
- the Bin Laden family flight two days after 9/11 while U.S. citizens could not fly
- the mysterious mass exodus of the bush admin from DC for the entire month of August 01
- one word "cipro"

I could go on but at some point the "deniers" will have to examine the evidence.

5. Bush needs another terror attack
But..he dug himself into a hole as deep as saddam's hidey-hole because THIS time how can he explain "how" he failed to protect us?? The last time he shifted the blame to "previous administrationsexcept-for-my-daddy's-adminsitration]... and then there was the "bad information"..and the "non-traditional hijackings", and the fbi failures, and so on and so on and so on..

Any attack now would HAVE to be his fault, so as badly as he needs one, he really cannot afford one .. very prickly problem for the little dunce ..

10. if something is 'orchestrated' by bushco
it won't be an attack. that would be disaster for the bushies UNLESS it allowed marshal law. (which would still be a net zero for the bushies as even the freep set would not take kindly to that scenerio...but it would keep them in power and would void an election they couldn't even steal this time around.)

no, what I suspect is a MAJOR THWARTED attack with brave brave bunnypants heroically saving THOUSANDS of AMERICAN lives while single-handedly fire-bombing and exterminating a TERRORIST cell on live video.

that might give him a 4-day bump

13. If there really is another attack, actual or stopped, I think
everyone, whatever their suspicions/dislike of W, will initially be very upset.

Then it depends - if it's like the ship speech, or Daytona, or something pretty transparent (as so much seems to be lately), then anger.

But the media will hype it and spin it as directed, and opposition will not be 'heard/seen'.

If truly 'planned,' everthing (eg, martial law) will be in place before resistance can get organized.

PROOF #1: Patriot Act was ready and presented extremely/suspiciously quickly.

21. I'm with you, mopaul
I don't know whether I'm a "dumb mother fucker" or a "smart" one but there is one thing I'm SURE OF and that is that 9/11 WAS AN INSIDE JOB.

How can I be so sure? Well, first off, if there WERE real "Muslim Terrorists" that were *not* CIA assets, what would they have gained by the actions of 9/11? Second, HOW could they have pulled it off without INSIDE HELP? The whole conspiracy story concocted by the powers that be IS NOT CREDIBLE from top to bottom. It makes NO SENSE.

However, if you look at who and what DID benefit from the events of 9/11 and ask the question--did they have the MOTIVE and the MEANS to accomplish such an Operation?--THAT analysis has much more credibility.

As to the future-- Well, it looks to me like what has happened is that the "reality bubble" we Americans have occupied for a long long time has begun to crack wide open. From many different points of view, THIS IS THE END OF THE WORLD WE ONCE KNEW AND TOOK FOR GRANTED. Whether due to peak oil or environmental colapse or coups and counter coups--(I think there are forces within the military that are on the verge of open revolt)--the future is becoming INCREASINGLY UNPREDICTABLE.

Yes, another "terrorist attack" is ONE possibility. But there are OTHER possibilities. (We could even brainstorm what those are right here on DU if we wanted.) The point is, our ability to predict the future DEPENDS ON HAVING GOOD INFORMATION. As a society, we do not have good information. What we have is fascist (government/corporate) controlled propaganda and DISinformation.

17. The "safer" evil alternative
How about a (staged) failed terrorist attack?

Especially one that involves one or more nuclear devices.

Something like this could make Bush look like Ultra-Jeebus, and no one would have to die.

But there's something even more sinister than these scenarios -- that we have enough "confidence" in Bush's corruption that we can believe he'd do things like this. If you're an emotionalistic kind of Democrat, it's understandable that emotions might get the better of you. But I tend to be pretty sang-froid when it comes to politics, and usually give even the rottenest bastards the benefit of the doubt.

And still, it's not much of a stretch for me to imagine Team Bush producing a very elaborate piece of political drama for their own gain.

Sick, ain't it?

cheney, rumsfeld, thompson, ridge have all said in plain english that there is no doubt whatsoever that we will be attacked again, i heard em say it with my own two earballs.

and don't forget that it's been proven that bush KNEW in advance it was coming and WENT ON VACATION AND NEVER THOUGHT IT WAS IMPORTANT ENOUGH TO MENTION to us. remember all the headlines and magazine covers saying BUSH KNEW? i do.

of course i have no proof, and you cannot disprove it either.
hence, one party calls the other ridiculous. i always assume i may be wrong, but i never assume i am absolutely right either. find some middle ground. either one of us could be wrong, i'm just asking questions is all. excuse me

32. Lots of loose ends for the 9-11 Commission to look into
Not to assume for even a moment that will since they're beholden to the PNAC Cons...

The loose end that strikes me as shockingly out of character for Islamic terrorists is the FBI/ Justice Department's report of the terrorists spending an evening a couple days before the attack at Daytona Beach's Pink Pony strip club.

Relevant details were:

1) The Arab-looking men came to the club and spent lots of $$$.
2) They drank plenty of alcohol.
3) Some of the men brought their Korans (Muslim Bibles) with their names printed in them.
4) Several paid for their tabs on their credit cards.
5) One told a bartender there was going to be a disaster the likes of which America had never seen on that Tuesday.

Does anyone else have any inkling of the Muslim jihad mentality and see just how extraordinarily out of character all of those descriptions were?

1) In other character portraits provided to us courtesy of the FBI, these men were described as devout Muslims, to the point they covered up pictures of fully clothed women in the apartment they rented that most of us would describe as primitive American/ puritan artwork. The Pink Pony is an alcohol serving bar with a fully nude strip show that has private dances, which several of the men allegedly spent hundreds of dollars on. I could see them bombing a place like that for being a den of Westernized immoral depravity, but patronizing it and having a (really) good time?

2) Isn't drinking alcohol a mortal sin for Muslims (and a jailable offense in their countries)?

3) Let's assume they thought they intended to get away with 1 & 2. Don't they have religious almost superstitious beliefs about defiling their religious honor embodied in the Koran by bringing it to a place like the Pink Pony?

4 & 5) The conspiracy and sleeper cells have secretly been working towards the 9-11 events for 3+ years, and with less than 48 hours to commit one the most horrific crimes in humanity, one or more of the perpetrators lets the cat out the bag by announcing their plan to a complete stranger and leaving valid and traceable paper trails?

Sorry, but to me this particular connect-the-dot the officials in the Dept of Justice have provided us with is just one of the reasons I don't see "9-11 Inside Job" as farfetched as those who claim it's a tinfoil hat conspiracy theory.

26. For this to work, the next attack would have
to be huge, massive, to achieve the same effect for Bush as 9/11. The American people are numbed to a mere 3,000 dead, but a ten-fold death toll would push all of us back to Sept. 12.

I don't know if the Bush cabal is as evil as all that, but it sure is sad to say that I wouldn't put anything past them.

like if he knows he's going down in flames, on his way to jail, etc.

It will give him an excuse to declare martial law, stay in power, and stay out of jail.

I fear this is what he might do.
