I know it sounds ridiculous, but they did it with Ollie North, even after he sold weapons to our avowed enemy--Iran. The Repuke P.R. team made North out to be an unfortuante "victim" of a partisian "witchunt". They made sure he appeard on T.V. in his Marine Uniform, even though he worked in civilian cloths, He was elevated to "True American Patriot" status. The the wingers loved it and soaked it all up.

1. I doubt it

I doubt you can turn someone who jeopardized the life of an American CIA agent into a hero. Ollie North's Iran deal is in Iran -- so far away from the masses. This is an American woman who was put into danger -- I think(hope) it's different this time around.
