Did Clinton gut intelligence/military funding?
I'm being challenged by a freeper on a different board. I need to come up with increases in defense/intelligence from Clinton to Bush pre-9/11. Now I seem to remember in Franken's "Lies" that he had numbers saying that Clinton didn't even cut defense. If anyone can give me those numbers and the ultimate source I would appreciate it. Thing is I also need intell. numbers. As stated, I'd need a legit. non-partisan source. Thanks for the help.

3. Its not the funding , its how its used.
Clinton keep close tabs on Osama, Bush went on Vacation to talk to cows, Clinton read intelligence and meet with advisors , Bush let Cheney handel that.

4. can't give exact numbers but
point out how well the military was able to perform in Afghanistan and Iraq. I can't give you specifics but the technologies/weapons developed during Clinton's presidency were used effectively in both campaigns. Also point out how terror plots were foiled against the UN, Lincoln/Holland tunnels, LAX, the Space Needle and other millennium celebrations were detected under Clinton. Also point out that Clinton handed a plan to Bush to hit bin Laden with an unmanned, armed drone in the spring of 2001 but the drone in the White House shelved it. Also point out how Ashcroft reduced resources on counter-terrorism pre-9/11 and all the warnings that were occurring throughout the summer of 2001 when shrub was on vacation.
