Conservative Book Club Giving Coulters Book Away !

Now we know where some of those bulk orders went. Order thousands of copies, then give
them away, not to mention the increased sales that help her get on the bestseller lists.

I found this information on a conservative message board. It's a copy of an e-mail sent to
some repuke named Charles.

----

Get Ann Coulter's 'Treason' for $1.00

Join the Conservative Book Club and get this blistering exposé of liberal treachery against America, plus two other
best-selling titles for only $1.00 each.

Dear Charles,

In this stunning follow-up to her #1 NY Times bestseller, Slander, Coulter contends that liberals have stood with
the enemies of American interests in every major crisis from the fight against Communism to today's war on
terrorism.

Re-examining the 60-year history of the Cold War and beyond -- including the career of Sen. Joseph McCarthy,
Ronald Reagan's face-off with Mikhail Gorbachev, the Gulf War, the Clinton impeachment, and Operation Iraqi
Freedom -- Coulter reveals the Left's shameful record of blindness to, and active cooperation with, the forces of
totalitarianism and terror.

By joining Conservative Book Club's conservative community, you can get this exposé, and two other titles, for
only $1.00 each (plus shipping/handling).

Other available titles include:

Let Freedom Ring by Sean Hannity
Useful Idiots by Mona Charen
Fighting Back by Bill Sammon
Reagan's War by Peter Schweizer

. . .and many, many more!

If you are looking for a one-stop source for books that counter "mainstream" liberal orthodoxy, CBC is it. If you
are looking for books that affirm your beliefs, your principles, your core values, you need look no further. If you
want books that tell the truth, the Conservative Book Club is the place for you.

Conservative Book Club's terms are easy to live with, too. All you are required to do is purchase four other titles
(at CBC's discounted prices) within 24 months. That's only one book every six months!

Take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to get Ann Coulter's Treason by clicking here. A portion of the
proceeds will go to underwrite AFA'a online activism efforts.

If you like the book, you'll love the magazine!

If you like this offer, you will love AFA's monthly newsmagazine, the AFA Journal. Register for a free six-month
subscription and get in-depth insights and commentary on issues of concern to conservatives delivered to your
mail box every month.

1. alas
if the only the paper it was printed on was softer.
Toilet paper is getting so expensive nowadays.

Though selling books for a cheap price like this..isn't that what most book clubs and record clubs do? By itself, it's not unusual.

2. This is a commonly used technique............
by the right. They buy thousands wholesale, then either give them away as premiums or at drasticaly low prices. This is how these "books" make it to the top of the charts. Left to stand on their own merits they wouldn't scratch the top 50. Another Con trick to bullshit the population into thinking their ideas are mainstream.

10. it's a book club
they manufacture them under license, just like the CD clubs do. it's common for them to have first run books, and they usually do not count on the best seller lists, by the way.

15. Do you know that they don't dump real copies through the book club?
Would you be surprised if they were?

3. Ahh yes,
this explains a lot

I went to the Conservative Book Club's site, and you have to sign up to find out much, but they do splash the offer of "Treason" for a buck.

It's a pretty lousy homepage they have, btw.

While I'm on the subject of Annthraxx, my brother, who often posts here under is own handle, tells me that in his Midwest town the local Wal-Mart and other outlets rarely have "Treason" displayed, but have plenty of Hillary's out there, and they seem to be moving.

He went to the library, and they are ordering a few more copies of Hillary's because of the waiting list, and say they have no copies of Coulter's book, nor have there been any inquiries about it.

Interesting, wot...

4. Well do you ever hear her? She has no logic. She is a bomb thrower.
She is the so called sex on the shows. Lots of long hair and little clothing and will say anything to get into the news.

6. I have to ask...
...is Ms. Ann-thrax KKKoulter a master of the "ABC DIET?" You know, anorexic, bulimic and crackhead? She makes Karen Carpenter look healthy and voluptuous, and Karen IS DEAD! Hey, if the repukes can say shit like CHELSEA IS A DOG, then gee, I'll gladly ask questions like this!

9. BTW Folks........

I checked the NY Times bestseller list, Coulters book is the only one on the whole
list with bulk book sales.

It has that (+) sign next to her book listing meaning book stores report bulk sales, no
other book has it but her book.

13. The Link........

Here is the url -

http://www.nytimes.com/2003/08/03/books/bestseller/0803besthardnonfiction.html

Go there and look at the list, notice you see this (+) after the listing for Coulters book.

Here is what that means:

A dagger (+) indicates that some bookstores report receiving bulk orders.

Notice that Coulters book is the only book on the entire list with a (+) indicating bulk book orders.

That is the far right wing groups like the heritage foundation etc. making bulk orders of her book to
get it on the list. If not for the bulk orders it's most likely her insane book would not even be in the
top 10.

12. Ever been to a dollar store in the south.
You'll find lots of right wing books - all you want $1 each.

Their machine misses no tricks - we must fight them as if our lives where on the line.

14. This is one way the RW funnels money to its media whores and others.
There is nothing "illegal" about purchasing books in bulk and giving them away.
Just goes to show you that not many want to buy this junk!
