Ways in which American "capitalists" oppose it when it violates interests.
1. Colombian farmers aren't allowed to grow and sell coccaine, even though it's more profitable, because America doesn't want them to.

2. The entertainment industry has no problem with free trade as long as they're still allowed to put regional lock-outs on movies.

1. Capitalism does not = do anything
Drugs can be illegal in capitalist society.

I don't know what regional lock-outs are, but if you own a movie/book/TV show, whatever, you can do whatever you want with it.

3. Advocates of Capitalism then...
FYI, regional lockouts on DVD's, try to buy one from Europe and see if it will work in an American Player. It won't, and not due to different standards, they are locked into different regions, for some inexplicable reason. Supposedly to prevent theft. (yea, right)

2. the blather on about choices
and how capitalism is all about consumers making choices - good products sell, poor products wither and die. But, they won't let consumers choose when it comes to genetically modified foods - they are fighting any efforts to require labeling on food products containing GM food.

5. That's another thing I don't get...
Why does the government extend patents and copyrights, shouldn't both be in the public domain after a certain period of time? This applies to both pharmaceuticals (AIDS medication) and cultural icons (Mickey Mouse).

6. Yes, they should be, as that would be beneficial to society
whereas keeping them private is beneficial to a small group of very rich people. What's not to get? It's just business.
