More Gems where these came from...
******************************************************

And don't any of you think for one minute that you are leaving me. I had a chance back when Bush Sr was president to slap the "h" out of him while he was shaking hands at the Varsity but my sister was with me and BEGGED me please don't do it. She knew that I would done it. THen she said that those men in that black suit would be all over me. I told her the least that could happen is that I could plead insanity and she would be famous. She held my hands and when he came by to shake our hands he couldn't figure out why we were holding hands. He smiled and I guess though to himself, well we are in Midtown. Hahahaha. Anyway, had I slapped his face, maybe his idiot of a son would not have had the aspirations he had to me Commander in Chief. LET'S GO. I need a break. So move over, and let me in too.

---------------------------------------------------
I want to find Dumfeld and kick him low. And remind him that since we are in D.C. and its no safer than Iraq, that he should be glad I don't take a roman candle and light it up his A**!!!!!!!!

-------------
It seems to me that our "Commander in Chief" has really let us down. Pres. Bush has created a mess and has left a complete """IDIOT""" (Rumsfeld) in charge. Bush is more into collecting campain money now than he is anything else. If he don't come down off his throne and get this "IRAQ" problem straightened out, I don't think he can collect enough money to get him re-elected. People would probably vote for "ME" (now wouldn't that be a disaster) instead of Bush, if he don't get this mess straightened out.I have always (until now) had a lot of respect for Bush and supported him all the way. He has really let me down and if he don't change really soon, I will not support him at all and hope others will do the same. I better hush before I say something that will get me kicked off the site (if I haven't already). Keep praying for our troops and maybe soon this mess will come to an end. "God Bless Our Troops"

----------------

What needs to happen here is: (I'm so sick of having to tell these boys how to run this war )...

1. Admit that you didn't plan this war well. IF the goals were to liberate the people, rid the country of WMD and minimize loss of life... did we accomplish those goals? Let's see...We can't confirm that Saddam is dead; the people are revolting against us and killing our soldiers; we still haven't found these supposed lethal, massive quantities of WMD in Iraq(no, those nuclear plans don't count to me). And, we've lost too many soldiers. Since major combat was declared over, we've lost more than 60 soldiers. We lost 167 in the war.

But, the oil fields are up and running...hmmmm

2. Get someone smart in there to come up with PLAN B...I don't know if this person is there already or not. Deal with these "pockets of resistance" <-sick of that term, but it fits here. Let's do what we have to do. Use FRESH troops and equipment to go back in and take make it known that the regime is toppled. I mean Geez!!! PISS OR GET OFF THE POT (uncle used to say that). They seem to be concerned that people will notice that the war really isn't over. Guess what boys? The secret's out. Now deal with it!

3. Be prepared to take your punishment. It's time to take this thing to the hickory shed.

I've called that comment line one time. I've sent my letters and emails to the appropriate people. But I speak best at the ballot box. I don't threaten anyone with that. I don't make threats. See, neither Bush nor Rumsfeld will get on the phone to speak with me. They won't personally answer my emails or letters. My congressman won't even call me back. But my parents, friends, co workers will. And collectively we know people. I'm focusing my energy on making sure that we have future leadership that wouldn't even think about doing some crap like this again.

They want to know how many troops we have in the region? Well, the better question is how many registered voters do we have in that region? And then ask yourself, how many of those troops' family members are gonna vote to keep me in office? He should ask, how many vocal and demonstrative people does it take to kick my BUTT outta here? My memory is long and my resolve is strong. I read a post by Redneck, and I agree... Bush won't be able to raise enough money to get re-elected.

Do they not realize that all a girl has to do is stand out in front of WalMart/Target and plead her case for a few days? Show a few pics of my young, handsome, weary soldier and our pitiful kids? Yep, I'll take a pity vote. I'll ask them for their help in making sure the Bush Administration doesn't do this to THEIR family. You don't have to spend $2000 a plate to get that accomplished. By the way, Walmart has colorful plastic plates, bowl and cups for 89 cents right now.

3. SEND THE THIRD INFANTRY DIVISION HOME - NOW. Enough said.
------------------------

These "MEN" aren't thinking "THE BIG PICTURE" and need to get their heads out of whomever A--es they have them up and look around!! There are ALOT of pissed off people in this country who are either being very vocal about how they are feeling "with all of this crap" or they are sitting back and taking careful notes of how everything is being mishandled by the "Officials". I, personally, have been like alot of you ........... I was behind Bush with literally everything that he has done and believed in should be done........ but NOW is the time to prove just how Christian and open-minded to the public views he is supposed to be ............

-------------

You know it is ironic how they (higher administration) uses the term "pockets of resistance". My thought is do we not have the same problem here on our on soil. U.S. grade A poverty.
I used to live in Oakland, CA when I was 19. I moved up there with a friend of mine. I couldn't understand for the life of me why there was always a liquor store on every corner as we got towards the shabby side of town. When we would go to San Francisco it was the same as we got towards higher street numbers. Shoot as a matter of fact it is that way almost any where you go.
I find it a$$ backwards how we have people here in the United States that could use some "freeing", but no we gotta go have way around the world to prove that we have humanitarian skills, to free these people that are from a different culture and lifestyle. I say what about the people that are American Citizens.
I say how did we know that they wanted our help in the first place.
This is my honest opinion on all of this crap that the media, Bush and the "Idiot" has put forth.
1. I never believed that this war was intended to find WMD's. I believe that this was a facade they had us to believe because what they were interested in was the oil.
2. Population control...Just like those liquor stores I was talking about....We live in a day and age where there is a pill for just about anything...Prozac, ritalin, etc...
When I was growing up there wasn't such a thing as A.D.D.
those sudden acts of showing ones a$$ could be resolved with a bamboo stick..IE: switch...
In this case I am saying that our leader wants to line his pockets fatter with rich peoples cheddar and I am quite definately smelling a RAT....
3. He has surely got to come up with better excuses and stop talking out the side of his neck or his you know where because it sounds like the same ol' song to me...
If you guys wanna go to D.C. I'm with you...Just say the word and I will quit my job...

3. That's the flip side
I'm just happy they're mad and watching. Some interesting points were made in some of their posts that give me hope about Bush losing their support in the next elections.

Seems some of the blinders are coming off no matter what their selfish motives.

Peace

and they know how to use it, too. We could take some lessons.

6. As TennesseeGal informed us, this was in the Tennesseean
From a soldier's mother on Bush's dare
This was posted on the Nashville Tennessean Forum (at the end of a long list of forum comments after the main article):

"As a mother of one of our brave troops in Iraq, may I just say, Mr. President, Perhaps you truly do believe in the invincibility of our military; however, the next time you invite attacks on my son, and others, kindly stand in front of our soldiers, rather than hiding behind."

14. Very well said...
With a daughter in the Navy, I can relate to her concerns about her son. She is on a carrier at the moment, fortunately it is not the one that bush landed on.

bush has never understood that it is easier to send ohters sons and daughter into harms way, than to take up the sword when you have the opprtunity. When I was in the Army, we called that cowardice; and it would be a cold day in hell when a person of bush's military record would be allowed to hold an elected office. It would have been better if he had never served.

7. Wow, what an interesting site
Thanks for link. I went ahead and looked around myself and read some other posts. Boy, they sure do seem to hate Rummy. They had one post that was a poll "How is President Bush doing"

Results were:

52% Poor
35% Good
11% Great

That was unexpected.

11. Hadn't seen that one!
Some indicative comments there too! Yep, Bush is going to HAVE to rig those machines now! The writing is on the floor!

---
Its almost like he forgot about the war and is worried about his campaign.

---
He hardly speaks much about the war anymore; it is all about campaining now. Does't he still have a country to run??
----

I think certain problems with this war cause problems for his re-election pep-rally....so he's trying to say little and let Rumsfeld handle it. I don't think that's a good idea either, I think Rumsfeld is rude and loves insulting other countries. I am afraid some other country will want to b<*ch slap Rumsfeld by doing something to America. If you love this country you should show respect by making sure
you don't yak your mouth off, I think it puts our guys in uniform in a bad position the more he runs his mouth. Why would the UN want to help us? with Rumsfeld insulting every
one at the table! Would you want to help someone who was in your face being rude? I wouldn't. Rumsfeld needs to take
Diplomatic Relations 101 and go to charm school too! Maybe they can teach him some manners!

und of Applause !!! CLAP CLAP CLAP ! Well put!

10. I feel for these families...
I know if my sons and daughters were over there I'd be mad as hell, too with Bush strutting like a cowboy while our young men and women are already in danger.

I'm glad these people realize that the "mission" is far from "accomplished." And it won't be, until we toss the usurper out of the White House he's occupying.

15. Even quoting Democrats & PNAC
Wow! These ladies are mad! Did you see #2216 where she refers to the 'Policy' for a New American Century? And a news article quoting, gasp, Democrats????? Bush better look out. One of the things that sort of gets overlooked about Vietnam was the wives. My cousin was a POW wife and met with Nixon alot and they got alot of attention in the media. Bush does not want these women having a sit-in in DC. Do you think they know how much support they have?

17. Had to add this one from another thread
called: RUMSFELD HAS OR HAD FORGETTEN THE 3rd ID ! Yep, yep, these people are STEAMING.

http://support3rdid.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=General&Number=2008&page=2&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=all
---------
My husband and I talked with our son this morning who is with A Co. He told us that rumor has it that Rumsfeld had forgetten they were still in kuwait!!
---

I know there is alot of information out there and it is coming in and making our heads spin wondering what in the world is going on with this world these days. When I spoke to my fiance on Wednesday night I told him about some of the rumors and about the redeployment dates. He told me not to believe any of it because all they are doing is lying to us.
------------------

Look What This IDIOT (Dumsfeld) Said today. . .
"Rumsfeld Says Iraq No Quagmire or Guerrilla War"
(with this part highlighted) Rumsfeld said the United States faced "a period of chaos and confusion" in its early years, including a depression, rampant inflation, no stable currency and mob uprisings.

----------------

((So they're phoning and e-mailing Bush & Rumsfeld))

Except by the end of my message I was almost sobbing and chose not to leave my name or number out of embarrassment. I even emailed Prez Bush. My family thinks I've lost my mind.

20. Thanks for posting this
It was so sad to read while at the same time giving me hope that our people are finally getting the message. This regime is all about "greed, incompetance, and machismo". Chimp and Dumfeld do not give a damn about our soldiers. How very terrible for their loved ones to finally realize this. It only adds to the stress they must be under.
