Faux's Hubris Is Their Own Undoing
As all of you probably know, the judge in the Fox News vs. Al Franken case soundly cut down Fox yesterday. The judge rightly pointed out that Franken's cover is satire, and the phrase fair and balanced is a term used in the common marketplace. The judge said this was an easy case. There's an understatement. Fox got whored, and rightly so. I must say though, the is the most Faux has ever done to boost a liberal's book sales. Hey, maybe they're not that right-wing after all. Naah, they are.

P.S. BTW, does anyone doubt that if someone like Coulter or Horowitz wrote a book titled, "Lies, and the Lying Liars who Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look at the Left, that Fox not only wouldn't sue, but would embrace the book with every ounce of its double-minded soul?

1. Fox and Judge Moore playing the same card
Fox wants an faithful audience. Fox knew they would lose this, but did it just to pleasure their constituency. They are campaigning too. They are trying to set the stage as the left against god.

Know who will win if we fall for it?

3. defending O'Reilly
I heard an interesting analysis that said FOX was just suing to please O'Reilly. They knew they'd lose, but he wanted them to stand up for him so they did. Don't know if that's true, but I could see it.

2. Faux is accustomed to not being challenged.
When a critical person like Judge Chin starts picking apart their statements, they fall apart. If only that would happen more often.

5. It's better than just the book sales
They have made themselves the laughingstocks of the media because of this. They've been completely exposed for the phonies they are. This WILL hurt Fox News...

7. Fox makes me smile again
Yesterday I derived pleasure from hearing that Fox's lawsuit was providing mucho free advertising for Franken's book and greatly increasing sales.

And in today's newspaper, which contained the usual depressing and enraging news, was a little article about the lawsuit being tossed out on its ear.

Thank you Fox, you bunch of RW whoring idiots.
